Predict our win total for football next season

Miss state
Missouri
Ive got us with 9 wins losing to bama, lsu, and auburn or miss state. Imo if we lose more than 5 with this schedule chad will be no better than bert. Easiest schedule we have had in a decade.

I'm going to go with 7 wins. If we beat Colorado State, which we should, then that should give us a bit of mojo going into conference play. Tulsa and Colorado State are both respectable G5 teams but CSU is going to be without their QB and we just seem to have Tulsa's number.
Beat those two teams and then I think we have a shot at taking three out four against Ole Miss, Vandy, Mizzou, and our usual play a better team really well game.

5 wins. I expect garbage QB play, suspect OL blocking and WRs who still can’t get separation from DBs.

I see us, at best 6-6. Most likely 4-8 or 5-7. Why anyone thinks our OL will be so much better is beyond me. They aren't very talented and we have no depth. Chad is going to have to rebuild the OL for a few seasons.
Also, our defense and special teams, under Bert, were as bad as they've ever been in my lifetime. Chad is not just going to need to reload the roster. They will have to fix all the bad habits this program developed under Bert. I'm expecting a pretty good team in his 3rd season.

Brother, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but Nick Saban couldn't win 9 games with this team.
Yes, I think we lose an early season road game when we're learning a new offense and defense. Even if it is CSU.
I think we could potentially improve during the season. I could also see us lose all our SEC games.
Morris has a lot of roadblocks ahead. We will get better, but he didn't inherit a program that was about to break out. He inherited one that was broken.

Look at all the blown leads we have had under bielema and bine headed coaching blunders. Half of our losses under him weren't talent related and road or not i do not see us being beat by Colorado state

You're right. I'm wrong. Offensive lines, defenses, and special teams are completely over rated. If Morris doesn't win 9 games and challenge for the West then he sucks and should be fired. Is that better?
Do you remember when we had to come from behind to beat ULM in Petrino's first season? That was a home game. The team was learning a completely new offensive scheme and we really didn't have the right personnel in place yet. That's what I see happening this season.
Let's just agree to disagree. I predicted 6-6 last season and got downvoted for it and we actually finished worse than my prediction. I'm just thankful that Morris stays juiced on Red Bull because he has a ton of work to do.

I didnt say you were wrong for predicting less than 9 wins. I know im drinking the kool aid with that prediction. But 7 wins isnt outlandish anx if we do only win 6 or 7 i guarantee you won will be csu. Im not arguing that we don't have problems im saying our talent deficient units are only that way compared to sec schools. We should still do ok against colorado state. And to your point with petrino brings up a good point. Good teams and coaches find ways to beat the teams theyre supposed to. Great way to summarize the difference between Bobby and bert and if chad drops a game to colorwdo fricking state (which i don't think he will) i will predict he never gets to double digit wins and we will be looking for another new coach in 5 seasons.

Colorado State is a very good G5 team. Arkansas is more talented and should win that game. It will be a huge red flag if Arkansas doesn't.

Some history for ya:
Petrino’s first two games (both at home) were — 28-24 win over Western Illinois and 28-27 over Louisiana-Monroe. He went 1-4 in road games for the first season.
This program in the last six years with some current players has lost to Louisiana-Monroe—2012 (at home; 34-31), Rutgers—2012 (at home; 35-26), @Rutgers—2013 (road; 28-24), Toledo—2015 (at home; 16-12), Texas Tech—2015 (at home; 35-24), TCU—2017 (at home; 28-7) and survived Coastal Carolina—2017 (at home; 39-38).
Colorado State is the first road game in week 2 of a new regime and system. The Rams aren’t any less talented than those teams above we’ve lost home games to recently.

Wait are you telling me bert was an awful football coach for the university of arkansas??? I had no idea! I know all of the embarrassing losses weve had in the past I guess call me an optimist but id like to hope chad is better than the worst coach i have ever seen walk the sidelines at Arkansas.
