If I remember correctly, Chaz played music through the entire practice.

...

In a zoom presser on Friday, Sam was asked a question about music at practice.

He said it will be played during warm-ups and stretching, but once it's practice time, it's time to get real.

His answer was essentially:

'Our coaches need to be able to communicate with our guy and pump them up when they do something good and instruct them when they do something bad.

We have to have the best practices in the country. When we're on the field, it's time to work."

Translation: Hell no we're not playing f-ing music during practice. We suck. These players need every second of talking and fundamental instruction there is. Music is for dumbass coaches who clearly don't want their kids to get proper instruction. This isn't a party. We 're here to kickass and win games... Not dipshit around in a faux nightclub.

I’m here for it. Now let’s go win some games again.

What was the music policy for Bielema/Petrino?

I don't remember but I did watch practice and it was a fast pace environment. Alarms would go off and players would do one thing and another.

I remember Paul Petrino would scream at any receiver that didn't run a route correctly.

Pretty sure Saban doesn't allow music, but Dabo does. Both have won titles with much different coaching styles.

When you have that much talent I'm not sure it matters but when you've been as bad as we have it's probably best to focus on teaching and getting better instead of getting hyped.

With petrino I doubt they had music outside of warmups and practicing communication in a loud environment.

Then again I feel like the players always knew where petrino stood regardless of music.

There was never any music at a Petrino practice.

As long as they start winning, I don't care if they perform underwater ballet while playing tiddlywinks during practice.

Pittman said the team has about 75% of the offense and defense installed.

If Chad was doing things the right way, Pittman wouldn't be here right now.
