No Kopps to save this team this time.

Kopps covered up a lot of holes last season.

Our pitching doesn't seem to be developing anymore. We always seem to have one consistent starter and one consistent reliever.

I also hate our approach at the plate. We strike out so much. I'll never be good with strikeouts. I'm probably behind the times, but I still prefer contact hitters and putting the ball in play vs guys swinging for the fences in every pitch.

Overall, though, we are spoiled by how good our BB team has been for a while.

Zeb loses the game.Shocker. Absolutely terrible for a dude that has been here like 8 years.

This team is weak. And our pitching top to bottom has been shite since whats his name left.

This is and has been my biggest issue. The averages will play out at the plate. Not worried about that.

I'm not ready to say the sky is falling. It's one series loss on the road after three series wins. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme. We just got spoiled last year. Pitching has to get more consistent though.

We are spoiled. Kopps was superhuman that carried an average Arkansas team. Arkansas is going to be overrated some years and that is a fact. That is how it is when you win at a high level. I'm not impressed with Matt Hobbs and needs to work harder this year.

Arkansas wasn't going to keep the series win streak alive. Losing to Florida just means they exposed weaknesses that Arkansas had all year. The good news this is a young pitching staff and Hobbs needs to make his end of the bargain and develop these pitchers.

This. The only thing that matters is finishing as a top 8 national seed. We’re still on track for that.

Seems like all of our big guns are taking turns slumping. Moore of all people can’t hit all of a sudden. I just hope we’re firing on all cylinders in June.

Miss St went 7-3 in SEC series last year, 0-2 in Hoover, and won the CWS.

Good offense and pitching seem to be alternating weekends. I do have genuine concerns about the bullpen though. Just need a weekend where we put it all together.

Agreed. As we saw last year, you can be a front running team all season and still not make it to Omaha. Just has to come together at the right time.

I’d go further than the bullpen and say that our entire pitching staff is a concern. Beyond Noland and Tygart, we have a lot of question marks and empty calories. Once again Hobbs is showing to be the weak link in our coaching staff.

Smith seems lost and every Wiggins outing is a complete crapshoot. Not great when your Saturday and Sunday starters have ERAs nearly double that of your Friday starter.

Also, don’t look now but Moore has the second lowest BA of the starters, with Slavens at the bottom. Webb started the season 0 for 23 and is still batting 12+ points higher than both of them.

Both Moore and Slavens have really seemed to regress this year. Very concerning.

I have faith in Dave, he’s done very well with less talent. He’ll figure it out.

No one can be that surprised by the series loss. We very well may be the #2 team in the country, but there's an ocean's gap in between Tennessee and everyone else.

I think the bench would do some good for the players struggling at the plate

There’s an obvious coaching and recruiting gap. We’ve been significantly higher than them for multiple years and yet we’re still rolling vermillion and Ramage out there?

They lost half their team and look even better.

Hard to not be a little jealous of what he’s got going over there.
