Sam Pittman just told the media he doesn’t believe any of the injuries in the game would be season ending.

Yeah heard Boyd was in a walking boot. Think we could get by with Smith but if Burks is out for a while that is a big blow for the offense.

Hopefully Treylon’s acl isn’t as bad as possibly thought.

This and most of his situations were that shotgun BS.

Gotta get some under center play action stuff going. I think this team could be nasty doing that.

I wouldn’t count on that happening any time soon.

I know.

Also living in Petrino Nostalgia but watching Franks, I think he could be solid.

Going to be a work in progress but at least he's got some serious arm strength. Good problem to have as opposed to that guy slinging turds for Moo State.

The throw that Warren dropped was a laser

The one in traffic in the middle of the field? If so, yes it was a beauty.

Drove me crazy. Anoucers saying it was a bad decision.....had that been Mac Jones or burrows or any other big name they would have been praising them for threading the needle with that throw.

Apparently Burkes posted an MRI scan today on his Twitter... But it was taken down with quickness. Pitt I think was steaming mad. There's a team rule against it for obvious reasons.

From what I read elsewhere it indicated that he is fine.

Boyd was apparently practicing today. Huge good news.

Coates is good for Saturday.

MO Brown good for Saturday.

Gerald is a maybe.

He hit some big time throws too. He’s erratic and going to make some mistakes but he’s shaking the Starkel look in my eyes. I know it’s on game but made some throws we haven’t seen since Brandon Allen/Wilson days.

I've been pretty happy with Franks thus far, he's got a strong arm and is a gamer. His only problem is trying to force the big play and making mistakes because of it, but we knew what we were getting and I'd rather have a QB that believes in himself and takes the big shot than a timid lame duck back there like we've had recently.

He also has a way of not letting his last mistake get him down, causing him to spiral further down the tubes; he can shake it off and throw a bomb on his next possession. We'll win at least one game because of his attitude and ability and probably lose a game or two because of him - but that's exactly what we signed up for.

Back to the thread - I like our chances SO much more with Boyd back. Can anyone confirm that he's able to practice or play?

Franks arm talent and athleticism is probably good enough to be an NFL QB (maybe a fringe starter/backup?)

The problem with Franks as I see it is his pocket awareness. He just looks uncomfortable standing in the pocket. Doesn't seem to be able to manipulate it to get enough space to throw, and doesn't seem to have the innate sense of the pass rush that some QBs have.

I would like to see more play calls to get him out of the pocket and see what he can create. With Warren stepping up and Burks likely back soon, I feel good about our WRs getting open with enough time.

Pittman has been very guarded on his injury report disclosure. Hard to surmise anything, he definitely keeps his cards close to the vest.

I like franks on the move as well because that gives him the option to scramble too and forces defenders to make a decision to either come up against him or stay on their receivers

Boyd and Gerald seem to be the most questionable for Saturday. Glad the rest are looking likely though.

Who is the 3rd RB? Spivey? I thought smith looked a little tired in the 4th quarter.
