We will get to start the year off with the freshly painted "2019" added to the outfield wall under CWS appearances, the SEC championship portion of the wall will remain the same so there should be plenty of paint left over from last year for a direct color match, as you may know white is the hardest color out there to color match.

Our young pitching staff will now be a seasoned young pitching staff returning 2 of the 3 weekend starters.

If losing a NC by dropping a routine fly ball leaves a bad taste in your mouth, going 0-2 only adds motivation to get back up the hill. Likely enough motivation to get steady offensive production from the 5-9 slots of the order.

This season highlighted key areas the roster needs to improve upon and was showcased in the CWS like breaking balls; how to identify them and what happens when you chase them, no way does the team and DVH not spend the off-season and fall ball working on improving these weaknesses.

Either way you look at it, no one expected to have a share of the SEC-West title after this season or to make it to the CWS even if the team did go 0-2 by a combined 2 runs, now one will remember the quick exit this time next year, just getting there was a monumental accomplishment for the team and the program setting up for next year to be the year.

Nothing matters until they learn to hit a fricking breaking ball.

Great post. We won’t win the SEC next year either. We won’t win the NC, but we might get another participation trophy in a sport that 30 teams care about nationwide.

Or just quit chasing them in the dirt. That's not a problem we had last year.

The "Next Year Razorbacks". I fear the drop last year was our one and only chance. Hope I'm wrong. We did outperform this year. Lots to work on. Our last hitting coach was the only one that's impressed me. We don't really seem to have an approach at the plate. Or maybe we do and the kids just do what they want. Maybe we could hit the curves better if we weren't trying to pull everything out of the park and tried to just drive it up the middle. Hard to adjust when you have a big long swing and swinging out of your cleats. There is an in between. First thing I'd do with Casey is give him a nose ring and run a line from it to his nuts. Maybe he'd quit pulling his head out. Watch the damn ball hit the bat. Hopefully the hitting coach reminds them of this. Simple but true.

Agreed. Nate Thompson has a lot of work to do in the offseason.

This. Our offense is much better when we're patient.

Too many ducks left on the pond for many years in a row.

Did I expect to be here in OmaHog this year? Absolutely not.

We were overachievers for sure. Awesome class coming in, a natty is tough to get, see Martin at FSU!

Of course but it would be taken more seriously from posters who are also willing to point out his overwhelming positives.

That being said, Sail on Dale

Does anyone know if HiV allows for DVH's weaknesses to be discussed? I recall that was an instant ban at the same time saying anything positive about Nutt was frowned upon.

If there were big wins to discuss it would be one thing, but there hasn't been any.

Series win to take a sole share of the SEC West? Nope

Series win to win the SEC regular season championship? Nope

Final round win at hoover for the SEC-T championship? Nope

CWS Win? Nope and Nope

CWS final win for a NC? Don't cry foul, but that is also a nope.

What was there to discuss this year? Embarrassing loss to UALR, failing to win the SEC regular season or tourney, failure to win in Omaha followed by wins that should be won at a 900k salary, but OMG you only post after lossers! Reeeeeeeeee!
