I was sitting in 107 on the front row. Shaddy called it before he got to first base. Cole and Gates backed off, Shaddy's mistake on fielding.
Still enjoyed the series.

I mean, does it? South Carolina won two NCs, Florida won one, LSU has won multiple, Vandy is about to win multiple, etc... All have some sort of SEC hardware too and so do others.

blame Shaddy, blame Gates, blame Cole, blame Cronin, blame anyone you want but I believe in baseball jinxes...... we lost that game b/c the outlandish number of people who couldn't name more than 4 people in our starting lineup who all had their phones out ready to get selfies when that ball popped up. Baseball gods hate fairweathers and bandwagon fans. They hate fans "who do it for the gram" and dumb arse fans who show up just to play on their phones ---- this is why people get beaned in the heads at the game.
This is also why any team who showcases their football/basketball coach and-or celebrity fan in the crowd for an appearance gets eliminated - Pearl and Gus caused the meltdown by Auburn. Beard caused the loss for Tech. Bielema caused the 0-2 in 2015. Mike Anderson's loser butt caused the loss last CWS. Bobby Bones caused it this year.
IF you don't pay attention to the team until June then don't pay attention at all b/c you are a CURSE.
I'll give Dale credit for that - he might hate the Razorbacks but at least he does it all season long.

BUT they have ZERO national titles - hell they have ZERO national championships in ANY team sport.
Their fans don't believe they are a participation trophy school. They have great fans who chose to be dogs or DAWGS or whatever they call themselves. Whereas our fans are Razorbacks because it's the only t-shirt available at Wal-Mart.
The bulk of our fans don't want to be our fans and only do so to talk shite. If we win they'll talk shite to the other team. If we lose they'll talk shite to the Razorbacks. If the Razorbacks win it's all about the state and how WE won. If the Razorbacks lose it's all about the University of Arkansas and how THEY suck.

And all that can piss you off or make you "salty" or whatever dumb shite you like to say but it's the truth. Everybody knows we have garbage fans. We have a core group of elite fans but the rest are horrible.
It's the one thing the other instate school fanbases have right about us - they laugh about the majority of our fans not knowing shite but just showing up to bandwagon when it looks like we are doing good.

Yeah, we heard all week how Arkansas was back to "win the whole damn thing." Then we were the first team eliminated. It's weird that you bring up vaginas though, you guys are the ones letting your emotions take over.
In regards to winning the whole damn thing - that's Phil Elson getting caught up in the moment. You'd understand that if you were an actual fan and went to the games. It's real easy to be confident or extremely happy when you secure your spot in Omaha. Most fans do this type of thing. That's part of being a fan. Mississippi State thought they were going to win it all. Louisville fans thought they had a legit shot of forcing another game with Vandy. Auburn fans felt confident when Julien fielded that ground ball ------- it's called being a f'n fan.
I guess we have the only fanbase who prides itself in staying reserved and being "realists". What other fanbase would discredit their 45+ national championships by saying "well most of those are in track and nobody cares .. and uh... the 1964 football championship is fake, Bama was the real champ..... and uh - Nolan was mean so I don't count the 94 championship" Answer--- nobody, only ours. Other programs win a championship in under water basket weaving and they hoist banners. Hell, Bama and Aggie go back and create retroactive championships for them to honor.

But you weren't sitting there when we still had a chance to get the guy out on the next play?
Or when we gave up the HR on the next at bat?
Or how we had a chance to beat them the next game?
Somehow blaming Shaddy is absurd. People act like it was the ball off the pebble or something.

You get way too upset about what people on message boards say, and you’re barking up the wrong tree anyway. I’ve endured some of the shittiest of the shite from Arkansas athletics. I’m pretty sure all of us on this board have. Also, I watched Razorback baseball all season. I’m frustrated by watching us piss away the outright division championship, I’m frustrated by not having an SEC championship in fifteen years, and I’m frustrated by going 2 and que in Omaha where we had a very favorable bracket. Sometimes I vent that frustration on sports message boards. The horror!!

We had to win the series against A&M to win the division outright. We had to sweep it to give ourselves a chance to share the SEC. We struck out like 43 times over the course of the weekend en route to losing 2 of 3. That’s what “piss away” refers to.

In baseball shite happens. We probably should have won another game at A&M, but we won a game from Tennessee and a game from Auburn that we should have lost. shite evens itself out in this sport. A batter can be 0-2 with two seeds hit right at someone and then get sawed off and hit a flair over the second baseman’s head.

Shaddy is Arkansas's Bill Buckner, I guess, it seems like a very specific in regards to bringing it up then melting down over it, not sure who it was intended to be directed towards...

Your look at it in a tangible way in an idea that performance is results driven.
You're not looking at it as DVH is the G.O.A.T, as the university so proudly proclaimed in the Omaha newspaper this year, once you see it from that point of view you will realize results don't really matter, participation ribbons are something, the university looks forward to your continued financial contributions.
