We'll see Peak Malik v Alabama. All the stops will be thrown out that game.

Just revisiting this.

I guess my initial point in making this thread was to say I have been disappointed that Malik has seemingly only been used in true gimmick plays. I’m not saying I expected him to be an every down slot receiver or anything. But I’ve been disappointed that we haven’t used him more on some WR screens or swing passes to him out of the backfield or something. Just seems odd that his only contribution is for true gimmick/trick plays.

Agree. They need to put him on the field more as a non-contributer, else the defense will always key on him when he is in the game.

I will say I don’t like those.

But if you are going to do them, maybe have Malik do it and not Haselwood like last week.

If we are determined to use Hornsby, I would like to see this.

KJ is an underrated deep passer.
I saw a stat that showed he was one of the more accurate passers over 25 yards.

His strength is the long ball but even with that he tends to underthrow his passes. He needs more work on his short and intermediate passing game.

I don’t expect it, but doesn’t he technically have 2 more years?

He has two more years including the covid year. But he won't be here two years. I thought he would go after this year but he needs another year. If he leaves now then he probably gets drafted in the fourth and fifth rounds. If he comes back then he has a chance to be drafted in the third and second rounds at best. He isn't a first rounder.

I wouldn’t see him as a first rounder this year or even next year without an amazing Heisman season. But he really improved on the touch passes during the year last year.

If you draft him it’s all potential based. And that seems to never work out. Daniel Jones etc…

Nope. When you've got a wide open guy down the field, or a one on one with the defenders back turned, you want to underthrow it a little. Worst thing you can do is overthrow it

One of the trick plays was supposedly supposed to be a toss back to kj and malik decided to run it instead of tossing it back and Knox was wide open down field

He underthrows wide open WRs such as Haselwood which has caused him to lose his footing and get opposing DBs enough time to make the tackle.

He has trouble sometimes throwing to any WR in stride without them slowing down and losing potential yards after catch.

I have seen him throw behind receivers on short and intermediate routes, definitely

Didn’t even see the field today. What a bummer this situation has turned out to be.

Deleted Arkansas from his social media.

Hope he enjoys FCS or lower D1. Best of luck to him

That likely explains why he didn't play today.

Potentially keeps him at fewer than 5 games played and keeps the redshirt available to go along with the transfer.

Am I imagining it, or did we not see Hornsby throw it a couple of times in the last year or two? I obviously don’t remember it well, but it seems like I remember a play close to the end zone, and the ball came off very well.

Hate to see him go, just hope he got an honest shot to beat out KJ. If he didn’t get an honest shot at it, he should have transferred out.
