What do we think about his usage through 2 games? Is this what he signed up for when he was talked back out of the portal?

I guess my bias is I’d like to see him get more touches but what do you all think?

Honestly think we're saving some of it for bigger situations.

But it's also hard to take the ball out of KJ's hands when he's been so effective and safe with the ball.

That said I would love to get a 3+ possession lead on Missouri St. and have Malik run the offense the rest of the way

Definitely. Him and the other young guys. I’d love to see Sategna get some snaps specifically

I think he could be useful at WR but we've just been dominating with the running game so much thus far that there haven't been many opportunities to air it out and get him involved. He was wide open once against Cincy but we didn't look his way.

I'm sure there are 4-5 plays they really love and will use them based on how teams are playing us.

Briles won't risk him too much imo. He's our back up up KJ gets injured.

We have the meat of our schedule ahead of us.

KJ is getting drafted this year.

Job is his next year.

Why risk it?

I wouldn't bet on that.

I was under the impression his options weren’t as good as he was hoping.

That seems very unlikely.

I would question everything about our coaching staff if he doesnt. The kid's only downside was his passing, and he has looked 100% better throwing the ball in fall camp this year.

Unless he just cannot grasp the game of football mentally then there is no reason for him to not be QB1 going into the fall next year.

Fall camp isn't live SEC football

If he could throw the ball as good as KJ he's probably out there starting right now....

KJ is a tough badass QB. But if Malik was as good an option at QB bridles probably let's him try and throw it more last year. Malik is 5/12 passing for his career.... Not saying he won't get better or can't.

Yeah but he won’t he competing against KJ next year. This isn’t about this year. KJ is obviously better. But when he’s gone that won’t matter

I watch Pittmans conference and said Sategna tweaked his ankle yesterday.

I think they are saving him for when we need him. No sense putting any more wear and tear on him than needed. And no sense giving the big teams any game film on him.
