First let me say, as the perennial basher of all things Chad Morris over the past 2 years, I was and still am pumped about the Sam Pittman hire. He's smart, humble, loves our state, knows how to coach OL (arguably the most important position on the field), and can definitely recruit. He checks all the boxes and rightfully so....and boy has he delivered so far. The turnaround has been amazing and fun to watch. The future is amazingly bright for our program.

That out of the way, looking at just this next game, I want to beat TAMU bad. They are the one game I would pick to win if I could only win one.

BUT, Jimbo would be a complete idiot if he does anything else other than line up and run the ball all game long. While our pass defense has been amazing, our run defense has lacked. Both Auburn and Ole Miss were carving us pretty good when they would just run the ball. I expect Odom, Pittman and company will have a good game plan in place, and I certainly know we have just as good a chance to win as they do, but I feel like this one is a tossup.

If we are healthy, I like our chances. If not its gonna be tough. If Jimbo gives Mond enough rope he will hang himself for sure. I look for a lot of run game ball control from the Aggies this week. The offense will have to step up.

We get back 3 starters on defense for that game. The DE (can't remember his name), Bumper Pool, and Montaric Brown. We had some guys step up while they were out. Hopefully with the added experience and depth, Odom can cook up a scheme more favorable for the Aggies.

I don’t see any way we win this game. Especially with it being in College Station. I expect this to be like the UGA game where they wear us down in the second half with the run game and pull away for a score that doesn’t look close on paper.

Same.

Offense hasn't been nearly effective enough to keep us in this game.

I hope they prove us wrong.

Its a bad match up for us. Offense will have to show up more than ever to get this W.

Arkansas and A&M have traditionally kept games close. I don't see this matchup being any different. I think the Hogs win a close one.

Texas A&M is nowhere near the caliber of team Georgia is and we’ve gotten massively better in the last month. This is the same team that beat Vanderbilt by 5 and ole miss is 100% better on offense and Kiffin is on another level than whoever calls the plays in college station. Spiller is the only person that worries me on that team but people seem to forget we’ve still been able to make key stops when needed especially when we know the run is coming. I think a lot of our Inability to stop the run game has been a tactical decision by Odom to play with less guys in the box to completely take away the pass game. I think that changes against A&M since they run a more traditional offense. Combine that with 2 weeks to prepare for 2 really good coordinators in briles and Odom with us being healthy and always playing A&M well and I say it’s a touchdown ball game either way

I'm with HSB55. I was looking at A&M's stats and they're not impressive. They have a balanced offense and I'll be surprised if they abandon the passing game, although I agree that they should concentrate on running the ball more.

Odom will probably load the box more, like he did with Georgia, so we'll see more man coverage. Hopefully we'll be healthy enough to substitute a lot.

I'm not saying we'll win, but I do think we'll have a good chance. We really need our offense to take another step forward for A&M and, as usual, win the turnover battle. It would be nice if Boyd could get going and break a few big runs.

Spiller isn't the same caliber back as Bigsby at Auburn.

If idiot Chad had half a brain, he would've run Tank at us the whole 2nd half and the outcome wouldn't have been in doubt.

We do need all the bodies back on defense we can get. I too would rather win this game over any left on the schedule.

yep

Odom can outscheme a lot of offenses, but there's not much to do if you're getting pushed around. Have a long ways to go with depth and overall talent.

He's an aggie. They flush their brains at fish camp.

The cure all picture for any Aggie troll is the following:

How does a program with so much money, regional talent, and "tradishun" fail to have any sort of success in the BIG 3.

What we've seen so far has been encouraging, but we're just not there yet, I'm afraid. I'd like to be wrong, but I don't see us winning this one. Looking forward to the Tennessee, LSU, and Missouri games for our next chances at wins.

I agree. I’m not saying we can’t win but I don’t like our chances if they just show up and run the ball. History tells us it will be close regardless.

It's a clean slate this year,I like our chances.

This team is a throwback to how what we used to love.

I believe we beat aggie and order will be restored.

We gonna have to run the ball better. Need to be more efficient on offense in general, obviously. I feel like the rushing 3, dropping 8 ain't gonna work with A&M's better-than-average run game. Mond is gonna Mond though. He's definitely interceptable.
