How bout the season this guy had

2575 yds passing with a 66% comp rating while only throwing picks. Had 21 TD passes

Rushed for 554 yds and 9 td’s

2nd highest efficiency rating in Arkansas history, heck he may have beat Allen’s record I’m not sure. He was getting close.

Dude is a playmaker and I can’t wait to see what next year holds for him. Burks may be gone but I expect Megatron and a few others to step up next year.

His improvement in downfield passing was quite shocking. I actually think we are limiting him too much. He can really throw the deep ball well.

KJ could be the best QB in the SEC next season.

He's awesome and done nothing but get better. He's got an absolute cannon of an arm and to see him get the touch passing going as well as continue running so well is amazing. hopefully he learns the offense and the read better for next year and we'll be dangerous.

I think Briles opened him up too early, game was too quick.

Briles shut him back down to runs, slants and immediate go passes to pre determined areas of the field.

When he gets even more confidence and the offense is even more tailored to him he will be one of the premier QB’s in the nation.

Next year I would like to see less slow moving RPO’s and horizontal running game from shotgun, and more straight ahead spread power run and more pro vertical passing game. Maybe throw in some pistol formation sets. KJ is more of a Donovan McNabb than a RGIII. Would also like to see a lot of 5 wide where he has all sorts of options and can also take off and run against a spread out D.

Very impressed with the improvement from the start of the season. If he can make the same stride next year, he could be one of the best we've ever had. I hope Briles is around, and tailors his play calling a little better to suit KJ's strong points next year.

He still needs to work on his touch, and hitting his receivers in stride. He could have easily had 30 TD's this season if he led his receivers in the right direction.

after the mizzou game I believe he has the highest efficiency of any QB in arkansas history, and the highest cmp %

EVERYONE SAYING FIRE KB. REMEMBER HE IS THE QB COACH, AND HAS NOW COACHED THE #1, AND #2 HIGHEST CMP % RAZORBACKS IN HISTORY, AND KJ NOW, DIRECTLY COACHED BY KB, IS THE MOST EFFICIENT AND ACCURATE QB IN RAZORBACK HISTORY!

I think he has done a damn fine job, recruited well, and his qb coaching is top fricking notch and he even coached the Chad Morris bs out of kj on top of it all. he also did all of this with a guy with his 1st year in the system, and a RS soph (technically RS JR) in his 1st year starting.

What's amazing to me is when you break down his 3 picks:
- 1st game of the season, bad pick
- Texas game, absolutely incredible play by the safety
- Hail mary before half during the Ole Miss game

... that's it. He's been beyond protective and effecient with the ball this year.

I'll eat crow on this, I thought he'd get beat out by Malik by seasons end. Hoping he can replicate it without Burks

I will admittedly say I was not sold on KJ coming into the season.... really felt like he was Jamarcus Russell 2.0. His progression has been tremendous! Can't wait to see if he makes another big jump next year.

Jamarcus 2.0? So the #1 overall pick?

Russell was awesome in college.

Yeah honestly I’d take a few questionable play calls in exchange for one of the best college quarterback coach in the country

KJ is more Big Ben. But no one will say that because he is black. He is large and hard to take down. Trucks people if he runs, and can sling it deep.

He is quicker than Ben though.

He definitely has some Big Ben qualities, but he's a much more willing runner. Big Ben never rushed for more than 190 years or 3 TDs in a season during college. To me, he's got a lot of Tebow qualities but with a better arm and a little less lateral quickness.

I hope that if KB stays he can adjust his offense to better fit KJ. If he can’t, then yeah I wouldn’t be mad with a different OC.

It was mostly me saying black kids never get compared to white QBs, but the way Jefferson takes so much to be taken down reminds me of Big Ben. Could hurt him later with injuries.

#30 overall offense. I definitely think we should get rid of him.

Give Odom a raise he has the #59 defense.

Mad because you don’t like the way he handles 3rd down, but never see maybe KJ is on his 3rd read when he throws short of the sticks. Oh he runs on 3rd and long from the shotgun? Is it because WR are covered and there is 10 yards of open field in front of KJ and he is bigger and stronger than most DB/LB?

I’m not calling for KB to be fired. His offense was good this year overall, but a lot was left on the table.

1) He calls more trick plays to try to get big gains than simply calling for deep balls from KJ when deep balls are his best throw. The trick plays hardly ever worked, were wasted downs that took on unnecessary risk.

2) Consistently throwing short of the sticks on 3rd downs.

3) Calling shotgun read option time and again when our QB hardly ever kept the ball, allowing the defense to crash in on our RB’s running sideways when we could have just gone power run if we wanted to establish running game.

4) KJ’s ability to see and react to a blitz needs improvement. Briles’ offense is all about going fast and then looking to sideline, and less about a QB diagnosing himself what’s going on before the snap. Too many times KJ was flat footed against an obvious blitzer when he should have saw it coming and reacted accordingly.
