Aubie has 142 total yards at Cal to start the 4th.

I don’t think you can objectively look at the first 2 games and make any sort of extrapolation from them.

Our defense looks great, will that continue against better team? Idk

Our offense doesn’t look great, will things open up when KJ has more designed runs, instead of working on being a pocket passer? I think so, but idk that for sure either.

We’ve looked great against bad teams before and had down years. We’ve looked bad against bad teams and had great (for us) years. Such is life in college athletics.

We’re gonna be alright in the sense that we’re going to go 7-5/8-4 with an All-SEC qb in an “up year” against the weakest schedule we’ve had in 20 years.

Are we alright in general? No, I wouldn’t go that far.

this is what scares me. I can live with being a mediocre team with some 5-7 years sprinkled in but also an occasional 9-3 or dare I say, 10-2 season. I know we aren’t going to win a natty but competing for ny6 bowls or maybe now a first round playoff beat down is enough for me. But when our GOOD years are 7-5, now we have issues. And that means something needs to change

Is it? Are they better or worse than Kent State

But we literally won 9 games 2 seasons ago.

That same QB did more than enough to beat us last year.

True, but it was also against the literal worst defense in the country when it comes to passing yards and big plays (ranked 130th in both categories).

To be clear, I’m not saying we’re beating Bama this year. Just pointing out that basically every team outside of Georgia is very flawed.

So what? It was the first time we got over eight wins since 2011, and we had something like 20 six year seniors because of the COVID year. We should win nine games without some freak occurrence. Think about all the times we'd have hit nine wins if we didn't piss our pants against objectively weaker competition.

If we can't be Alabama, we should at least be peak Arkansas. We're the only expansion team to make it to Atlanta more than twice. We should be winning 8/9 games on average, with years like this being prime for a push for Atlanta, or at least 10/11 wins.

after a bowl. 8-4 isn’t good enough for a good season. I want 3 losses or less going into bowl season

4 years ago people just wanted winning season and bowl games.

This is Arkansas' first 3 consecutive season 2-0 start this century.

They won but not by enough or with enough style? Wins are no longer good enough?

Let's give it a month before we write this season off, shall we?

Nine wins is nine wins, and getting nine with a bowl game means you go out on a high note against a representative of another conference that you may not get another chance to redeem against for decades. I like going into the off-season without the last memory being one of defeat.

Besides, 9–3 is almost surely not going to get you to Atlanta in the SEC-W, so that seems like an meaningless yardstick.

I think you've got the right idea, although I'm pretty emotionally disconnected win or lose at this point.

The 2–0 stat is kind of lame to put any stock in, but agreed otherwise.

This team has the talent to be apart of important games late into the season.

Kutas and Braun have not played well and it’s holding the offense back. I would like to see Harris at RG. Thought he played well against Kansas.

Hey, Sam is 11-1 in OOC games. That, in and of itself, is a huge improvement over recent years.

As for this season, I'm not pleased with what we've seen so far but will withhold judgement for another week or so. Hoping we have just been playing down to our opponents. That's an issue of its own, and on coaching, but also not uncommon at the college level.

Probably in the minority, but I saw a game called towards the weaknesses of week 1 by Enos.

That is what these games are for, glorified scrimmages you aren't suppose to lose. I'm not sure how throwing for 500 yards and winning 72-10 accomplishes anything more than making the team win thru their weakness...

4 years ago we were coming off a 2-10 season. Now we have an all conference qb. Things change. If we were just as bad last year as we were 4 years ago I’d be happy with just winning Saturday. That is not the case though

Nolan would have done the same thing if he genuinely thought his team could do better. I think Enos is very much “stay the course and do your fricking job and start winning every play” and opposed worrying about style points against Kent State. Either way, I’m so comfortably numb with Arkansas football that 2-0 is better than usual and hopefully we improve enough to not field an embarrassing team. People should not hope for ridiculous achievement right now. We should beat who we should beat and not lose to ourselves. We lost four games by a combined 10 pts last year and our defense SUCKED. But the life of a Razorback is tough and riddled with disappointments.

I’m not ready to stop sipping yet. We need a good week at practice and a complete game played this Saturday.

I don’t think you can find too many negatives with the defense considering the number of guys that have played. I know the competition hasn’t been great but turn-over, TFL’s, and sacks are looking pretty solid. Hopefully by LSU we will be playing our best back 7 consistently.

I think we also have been holding back on offense from a play calling perspective. Yes, we need to shore up the line and get healthy on OL and RB, but plenty left to throw at teams the next couple weeks.

We have a leader, a great culture, and a schedule of teams all with the flaws that are worse than ours.

Handle business this week and prepare like it’s the SEC. This will be a good to great season IMO. Wu Pig
