Dave admitted weeks ago he has changed his philosophy and tries to win the game in front of him and not some sort of long game strategy of rest during the sec tourney, late season series, to keep the guys fresh for a fun early summer.

And the point all missed was no one would be given the amount of time to win their first sec championship in football or basketball as is given in the secondary sports.

Sure they would if they had a nationally relevant program and went deep in the postseason. Example: Muss this year.

He was hired in 2002 and won the SEC in 2004. Just admit this is a clown take.

He didn't win it out right. It's the equivalent to Nutt and his west titles.

Dave has won a lot of games and kept fans coming to the games. His program generates revenue as well which is rare for college teams.

So lets just fire his arse, eh?

Yes his program generates positive revenue which provides more job security than wins and losses due to the nature of the sport.

Now the time allowed by the fan base to win anything of substance and support given during that time is a different matter, simply put they are realistic expectations for the program in the sport.

Would you say the expectations of the fan base has been realistic and reasonable for football and/or basketball?

It's a retorical question, you do not, when x amount of time has passed by x amount of people without x amount of results achieved which normally equates to a bar achieved for a brief amount of time in the program's history, it is then nothing but vitrol spewed at any perceived opportunity for it to be spewed.

Holding the DVH to the same standards is met with white knighting from the majority of these same people.

He did have his Bill Buckner moment, where if only they caught a routine foul popup. What about the game played afterwards? *Crickets*

It isn't a coincidence when he finally puts together a team that can pitch and hit, winning the conference happens, winning the pointless tourney in Hoover happens. Too many want to ignore how one dimensional his teams have been in the past.

Not being a colossal frickup to the tune of missing a 68 team tournament half the time or failing to even win a conference game helps with the whole "getting more time" thing.

So does winning a conference championship in year 2.

Not to mention this point doesn't even hold water considering we gave Mike a decade to miss the tournament literally half the time.

Sec teams with losing conference records make the ncaas every year in baseball.

Dvh is the only HC on the hill who has played non-conference games to have a losing season on his resume in the big three mens sports. Fact.

This literally just amounts to you comparing DVH's 20 year history at Arkansas to Musselman's last 2.

You're a clown.

I am willing to admit I wanted to win it, mainly because I am a Pisces and I believe in mojo and juju and I’m also a horror movie fan so I like my teams to go for the jugular.
