I prefer to travel to other SEC campuses for road games.

Our fan base has the weirdest, most stubborn, non-issue hang-ups.

Little rock fans are the worst

I live in Louisiana and am fortunate enough to travel to a couple games a year. By the time I buy tickets, plan on eating 8 meals on the road, souvenir shop, pay for hotel (2 night package), and buy the fuel I'm usually out $1000 to $1200 for each game. I'm DAMN SURE not going to spend that money going to a game in LR. If I go anywhere it will be to Fayetteville every time.
Just my $.02 on the subject
BTW, I will be there this weekend for Bama

Yeah the ones that show up to the game, attend the university, and pay for everything suck. We should go back to depending on a fickle bitchy and poor little rock crowd for our program.

What about the thousands of empty seats?

Schedule Alcorn St. for 11:00am in Narnia and it will be filled to capacity I am sure.
There was a nice crowd in LR, some late arriving due to the traffic crunch because of 11:00 am start. A lot started leaving at the end of the 3rd quarter to beat the same kind of jam since the 'game' (read: scrimmage) was well in hand.
By the way, were you there?

Would've been higher than 85% capacity in Fayetteville

Siding with Dale on this one...I was there and commented myself on the number of empty seats. I had great seats...unfortunately my buddy has ALS and is in a wheelchair but the upside for him is that the handicapped section is premium. We had an extra ticket, which I used to leave at halftime to smoke and come back. Talked with a guy parked beside us with a stack of unused tix in his hand...he used it to go out and mix crown

Students don't pay for ANY of the athletic programs.
So, exactly what do you pay for?
Anything that any other donor or ticket purchaser doesn't pay for?

We have 8 season tickets, have had them for many years. 4 usually go to friends from Memphis, but they couldn't come this trip due to the early hour and morning obligations. I sold the 4 to a family that had never been to a Razorback game, at a discount. Little girl that was seeing her first Razorback game was thrilled and super excited to be there.

Students are the university. They're members of the team, cheerleaders, trainers, and everything that makes the university what it currently is. the idea of a home game is that you're at home where your students are.
As far as paying for things at the school Walmart, Tyson, JB Hunt, Stevens, and jones are the big boosters when 3/5 are in NWA, and another is in dallas it's a tough sell that the little rock money is going to dry up over a game the fans won't attend.

That's great. Just think how much more she would have enjoyed Fayetteville.

She couldn't have enjoyed it any more. Besides, they couldn't have gotten to Fayetteville.
