I just relized that if long doesn't fire petrino there's a pretty fricking good chance Lamar Jackson is a razorback. imagine that. better yet, don't.

Petrino fired himself when he hired Dorrell. Why are people still trying to blame that on Long?

But at least we wouldn't lose to several other teams like we do now, or maybe we would. Doesn't matter anyway, blaming Long for firing Petrino is stupid.

ETA: and like several others said, we would not have gotten Lamar Jackson. This thread is bad.

Petrino fricked us all and left us in a ditch. Can't blame Long for that. But Long is going to have to sit down with Bret and Mike Anderson and reevaluate expectations. We deserve better than what we're getting. Arkansas fans have been loyal and patient. Ticket prices go up and so should expectations. If Long can't find coaches that win then we need a new AD.

Petrino fired himself when forged his mistress' resume and hired her ahead of qualified applicants. Not firing him would have opened the university to a lawsuit.

It's been 5 years and people still can't comprehend this?

It really isn't complicated

People acting like Bobby got a speeding ticket and Long decided to fire him.

Beating Duke by 10 isn't what I would be happy with.

Meh. I don't hate Petrino the way a lot of the fan base does. He made a dumb choice, and paid the price for it. He's still a damn good football coach. It'd have been nice if he didn't hire his mistress and put the university in a bad position, but whatever...water under the bridge. I still watch Louisville with a detached interest.

We ended up making the best of it. Bret Bielema was a pretty home run hire at the time, and I'm not willing to go back to the 3-year hire and fire cycle yet. We've improved wins and losses every single year, and until I stop seeing improvement in wins and losses, I'll support Bielema.

It is a little frustrating to see the OL and DL regressing as the season goes on, but again, wins and losses are the key here.

No doubt Dbeck! Petrino had bridges burning down all around him even before the fake scooter wreck.

People see how Bama wins so they want a Bama mentality. For Nick (even back in early 2012) they would have dealt wit the potential lawsuits one settlement at a time to keep him.

I think it's nice to not base my self worth on college football.
