i'm feeling 6-7 wins range. Depth still scares me and a key injury or two could break us quickly. I do expect to see a lot of improvement.

I like Morris, but if he doesn't win at least one SEC game this year then he might as well start packing his stuff.

Bert left our team void of talent, but Morris can't get a free pass on that twice.

Yep. The whole "Bert left a soft, loser's mentality team behind" excuse no longer works when you basically have a whole new team suiting up.

I think the first few games will be rough as the team takes time to gel, but we look pretty good by the end of the season and are one of the "surprise" teams in the conference. I could see us having a Bert-like season where we lose a head scratcher early but then beat decent teams towards the end.

We'll improve greatly but still not put a full season together, the story of our program. Next year we'll be more consistent and be considered one of the tougher top 4-6 teams in the SEC.

I just think expectations should be tempered for this coming season, we basically are starting from scratch. I hate that there's always an excuse like that, but it seems for real this time.

Over half the team will be morris players, but he has only had 2 recruiting classes. So it means we will be young as shite. No experience, and what experience we have is not very talented.

Go get on NCAA 14. Pick the worst team you can. Recruit 2 classes. See how good you are starting that second year. I will give you a hint how it works. The first class you recruit is pure garbage, and you may get 1 or 2 very good players. The next you may get a great class by your teams standards, but they are freshman, and most of your older players are better, but they are just not very good either.

That is where this team is, and the O line is a huge hole that almost seems unfixable at this point beyond 3-4 guys just getting older and stronger

Also i do not even count that first class as really his. The early signing period fricks new coaches. He had 2 weeks to hang on to whatever leftovers he thought were usable from bert's recruiting, and had to come up with some on his own. The ones that were his ended up working out actually, but they are still super young.

You could see from his first full year of recruiting that the defense was in really bad shape. Actually, you could also tell from watching the fricking games.

I would be grateful for 6 wins and a bowl game this year. And I agree with another poster. An SEC win is a MUST. Yes we are really young. But I don't see how we can justify keeping a coach after going 0 fer in the SEC in two seasons.

They look a little worse than last year some how. It's weird.

No Rakeem Boyd, no CJ O’Grady, no oline. I imagine we’ll look a little better in the fall.

Was being facetious brother. Robertson with that second chance effort was nice to see.

I don't think they look too bad tbh. Especially with guys out. They are playing football and not goofing off. I for one can appreciate that in a spring game.
