God. I'm so tired of hearing this name.

I just want them to put him in the damn game. All we have heard about his OH MA GERD HE SO FAST.

Put him in the game, and if he looks like shite then we will all know why he hasnt been playing, then they can put Fortin in. Theres no rule sayin the guy that starts has to play the entire game.

They tried to get him involved but he fumbled the ball around and derped it up against A&M.

An argument can be made that we should have just let him run a read option or something simple instead of a double reverse but if he had executed that play I think we would have ran more for him.

Here's hope:

If KJ plays:

MSU 41
Arkansas 20

If KJ doesn't play:
MSU 52
Arkansas 13

State's weakness offensively is the OL and defensively their linebacks aren't very athletic sideline to sideline so a fast outside run game or scrambling QB (ala Jayden Daniels) can give them trouble. Will Rogers hasn't performed well under pressure for most of his career.

Basically do what LSU did, pressure the QB and get their LBs outside the box and there will be plays to be made.

I don’t know whether Hornsby is worth a shite, but you and others should go back and look at the 21 A&M game. The first play fumble was a dead play because of defensive offsides. We had a crack back block that cost us big. We had a false start at the goal line that put us back to the 6, then I don’t know what the play call was, but we let about 3 D linemen go, Hornsby scrambles around and then hits our TE in the hands with a 20-25 yard pass that should have been caught.

Even this year though he dropped the pitch on the flea flicker or it may have been a TD. He’s fast but seems to move before he secures the ball or something at times

That’s not terribly uncommon for a player getting their first in-game experience. Sometimes it takes a few games before they really get sure-handed. We’ve all seen that many times with quarterbacks and running backs both.

We do know what he was told. He was told he would have a shot to win the QB competition and a chance to win a spot at WR. He failed to win either

Has nothing to do with coaches, their promises were kep. 100% on the student athlete

Well I’ve never heard that from either party. But if he lost out to KJ and Fortin, why wasn’t he listed as third string?

And I haven’t really seen him tried at WR, all I’ve seen him used for was some kind of cutesy bullshite.

Next year we can go get some stud QB from another school if we don't have one ready to play in house.

Are we even sure KJ is leaving? He’s not listed as a top 10 qb for the draft and only 9 qbs were taken last year.

Because of the timing of Hornsby's decision to transfer, he didn't miss any practice. His week away didn't cause any major disruption or learning curve. Pittman gave him one condition, though.

"In that conversation, I said, 'We will give you every bit of opportunity to win the starting quarterback job, but if you come back, I need you to be open to playing wide receiver,' " Pittman said. "So we're doing it at a slow pace."

Yeah, I’m not much on blowing smoke up people’s arse. I think the outlook is bleak for the rest of the season, even with KJ, unless he starts playing like he did last year.

When he gets more than a yard or doesn’t fumble? Everyone but Rocket and Duninion hasn’t been good this year.

yet the title of the thread is fairly plain!

Could you possibly think of 1 single positive to contribute?
