Had the championship in the bag last year, it will take years to get over that, if ever..

Seemed like it this week. Not having Franklin bunt was literally the only move DVH made the past 2 games that didn't backfire; and that's not to say every move he made was the wrong one.

Not holding the fat dude on with a lefty up, right move but backfired.

fricking breaking balls. Wtf is Nate Thompson doing when it comes to the approach to breaking and off speed pitches?

Hate to say it cause Martin had 2 hits today, but having him in the 2 hole late in the game hurt us both games.

Quite certain Ezell didn't bunt cause the odds of CM putting the ball in play against a guy throwing sliders isn't great.

Good question. To me Saturday was much worse given we knew for 5 days who we needed to prepare for and adjust our approach.

Any pitcher that has a breaking ball that levels out and falls off at the plate could pitch a no-hitter against us at any time. It's absurd.

It is another missed opportunity. I think we actually did better then expected this year but people paid attention to the weaknesses we showed all year in the CWS and it came back to bite us.

I’m actually starting to agree with Dale at least a little. Our flaws cost this team a conference championship. We swung and missed our way in to sharing a division that should have 100% been ours. We flamed out in Omaha. It would be nice to win something.

We had flaws because this was a rebuilding year. How do people forget we replaced SIX starters and two weekend pitchers this year? Omaha was a pipe dream coming in. This offseason we'll lose 2 MAYBE 3 guys in the lineup if Kenley goes and have an All-American transfer waiting to get inserted.

That said, though the numbers will say this team was better, I never felt as comfortable with this team as last year for the very reason that there were glaring problems we had to deal with all year. We felt much more complete last year to me.

Same here. Knight and Murphy were far better then Noland and Wicklander. That may change, but our young pitchers aren't quite there, yet.

While Baseball doesn't have near the sting football has...this does suck.

I have the slight sads. Proud of the team though. They kept our name in the spotlight and made it to Omaha. It can only help recruiting.

Why are you still melting over last year?

We were pre season 5 in the SEC and went to Omaha
