Both should be extended IMO. Let's speed up this death.

Kids don’t want to play for a coach whose goal is to make a bowl. They want to play on bigger stages and people like hasz belong on better teams

I don’t know about that, maybe the high school kids. But the portal kids just want a bag and a place they can get video game numbers

Guys, this is the way it is for everybody, ever year. The new world of 'college' (college doesn't have a damn thing to do with it, except being on a college campus and using their facilities) football.
Roster turnover from other schools tampering and bidding.
ID give much a F about 'college' ball any more. MIght as well watch the pros.

Only the beginning of the defections.

Metcalf's are about to tell Sam to frick off as well.

Hate to say it, but I'm to the point now where I do not care anymore.

NIL has ruined it for me. Well at least it's current state. There aren't any rules seemingly.

Look, I don't care that these kids want to make money. In fact I support their ability to do such. But college football cannot continue on this path if it wants to survive. At this rate the universities will no longer have athletics and we will have minor league sports in their place.

If the universities and NCAA ever get their shite together I will give it a shot.

Until then I'll just watch the games with no expectations or hope for the future of the program.

They will have to implement a salary cap or something similar at some point…the current situation will not work in the long run. I figure they will have something in place in the next 2-3 years

'A bowl' is just step on the ladder of goals, just as making the CFP is the next step, and winning a NC is the ultimate goal.
I'm sure the Razorback's was not 'just' to make a goal game.

FOR 1 more year... most likely.

Of course. The question is how bad is that buyout next year.

If he wins 6 or 7 again he's probably safe....

6-6 might as well be a losing season.

There is a big a difference between. 9-3 and 8-4… there is a world of difference between 8-4 and 7-5… then there is the who gives a frick at 6-6 and below.

Hasz leaving

Has anyone thought maybe he is leaving because Singleton was the only one who went through progressions? It seemed like every big catch he and Teslaa and others had this year was from Singleton.

Would you stay when they are going with a QB1 that can’t go through all the progressions? After a certain point, you would just think your routes are worthless because he only goes to his first option.

I think we probably over react to the portal guys.... It's happening everywhere... we are just looking under our own microscope. It's just the nature of the beast.....
BUT if I'm a TE I would have concerns with Green getting me the ball.

QBs

Miller (USC)
Weigman (aTm)
Arnold (Oklahoma)

Maybe that will make some people rethink transferring or at least waiting until they commit.

I assume Miller to Ole Miss and that tampering machine.

but if we just gave Taylen a pay raise seems like we’re good with what we got. We’re more than pleased with a turnover machine at qb

Bobby didn’t seem sold on Weigman when he was there.
Miller was most likely tampered with by Lane, as that will be the third straight usc QB he brings in. (My bad Corral was from Long Beach but he didn’t transfer in.)
Arnold will probably get picked up by Oregon.
