Meanwhile, our OL is dead last in the SEC in TFL allowed, dead last in the power 5, 128th out of 131 overall.
2nd to last in the entire country in TFL yards allowed.
312 yards in 8 games. We allowed 329 in 13 last year and 330 in 13 in 2021.
Insane how truly awful out OL play has been this year.

Who are you arguing with? I’m on record as saying Pittman needs to go, and l’ll be absolutely furious if he’s allowed to return in 2024.
Firing Enos and firing Pittman aren’t mutually exclusive.
Pittman fricked up by letting Briles walk and making the laziest, poorest scheme fit of an OC hire in Enos. Enos fricked up by forcing personnel recruited and suited for the Briles offense into his system, and exacerbated it with horrid playcalling.
These mistakes will cost both coaches their jobs, and if I had it my way Pittman would follow Enos in short order.
As I’ve said in a few forums, at a certain point the blame shifts from the guy who’s fricking up to the guy who hired the guy who’s fricking up. In Enos’s case that’s Pittman, and in Pittman’s case that’s Yurachek.

I was actually sort of deflated when I saw the announcement that Enos was gone, because I cynically assumed it means Pittman might be back next year (which is unfathomable).
This is an empty gesture in a lost season. Even if Guiton lights the world on fire, this season is dead and there’s nothing to play for.

No one, and I mean no one, worth a shite at all, would take a 1 year OC gig on a fired staff.

Sometimes the bad thing about having experienced coaches is they’ll hire guys they coached with a decade ago when they were good just because they knew them in their prime.

The OC does more than call plays. His offense has been straight arse all season. Between the penalties and poor execution, the offense has not been coached well.
Add in the fact that after 7 games, our offense has no identity. Dan has done a terrible job.
The playcalling yesterday was bad. Real bad.

I don't recall much wailing and gnashing of teeth either when he left.

The fans bitching about Briles were morons. No matter how well the offense is playing, they always think they know better than the OC.
It's like they got amnesia and forgot what an actually bad offense looked like
