It feels so good not seeing the xfer goobers

Too bad he made this change way too late. At least we get to see what the next coach will work with

Well, this what we wanted so lets roll with our future!

The KJ stuff doesn't bother me as much because I seriously doubt he was ready to lead this team to 7 wins in August; and having him get killed this season trying to make a bowl probably serves no purpose except burning a season.
The JSJ situation is far more infuriating. Why is he just now getting snaps this season? Plenty of opportunity to get him in games earlier this season.
I thought Morris was out prior to the MSU game; but I think he put the nail in the coffin by starting Hicks. Had KJ or even JSJ started LAST week I could see some of the pressure subsiding. Listing those guys as 1-2 this week just throws gas on the fire IMO.
I do think JSJ has earned the right to see what he can do. Frustrating that we have to see that in the last 4 games when KJ can be used now as well.

To me it shows he's either caving to fan pressure or it took him longer to see what we all saw weeks ago. Not sure which is worse but it has to be one of those explanations unless he really is Hicks' buttbuddy

They're screwed without O'Grady. We are probably 0-9 right now without him.

I feel like too many coaches follow a model of "until I'm mathematically eliminated from a bowl, I have to start the same players every week since they have more seniority or led us through all fall camp and maybe they'll improve this week"
It's not just Morris, a lot of coaches seem rigid and almost scared to try anything new that they aren't comfortable with. Especially in the NFL.

I'm cynical, so I think there's one of two things behind this move, neither of which is a good look for Morris. Either
1. he's caving to fan pressure
2. this is a Hail Mary to get Jerry squarely on his side to save him from getting fired after the season
He's shown that he's susceptible to bowing to fan pressure -- remember, this is the same guy who let the fans boo him into going for it on 4th and short against CSU. The move to placate Jerry is another distinct possibility.
Who knows, but neither is a good look for a coach who continues to be crippled by fear and indecision.

I'm glad he finally made the change, but why JSJ over KJ? I'd like to see what KJ does with a full game, and it's probably Morris' best chance to save his job.
What happens if we look like a different team with these QBs this week and we win, and then somehow beat Mizzou? He probably gets another year in that scenario, but is that a good or bad thing?

They keep listing JSJ as 5'11 199
My arse.
He's all of 5'8 1/2" and about 175 lbs

When you are Jerry Jones' grandson you get to be as tall as you want.

Yeah, KJ is obviously better than JSJ

Shows me he was set on saving their redshirts. Smart move on his part when he knows he's getting another year, planning for the future.

He isn't getting shite. Dude is getting fired because the money says he is.

Is this a troll?
He for sure doesn't know anything, he might be hoping though.

He doesn't know if he'll get fired or not. He can only assume he'll be here for the foreseeable future. All season until the Mississippi State game at least another season could be seen. So saving the more talented QB's redshirt made sense.
But now that he's playing them everyone jumps to the conclusion he's just trying to save his job.

Not if he gets fired.
He would be fairly out of touch if he didn't realize there is a serious or even likely chance of that happening.

I would agree this could be a logical reason but JSJ redshirted last year. Remaining eligibility is not a concern for him.
Whether Mighty Mite would have done better over the course of the season is something we can debate about for months, we can certainly make the argument he'd have been hard pressed to do worse.
And now time for an update to the most mind boggling stat of them all for the Chad era at Arkansas. Chad now has started 6 QBs in two years. That is two more then number of games he's won here.
