Similar to how Dallas ran their offense with Dirk.

If he does for us what Dirk did for Dallas I will be thrilled. Right now, besides his size and defense, I think he is calm, older, influence on a young team. With a team this young an older player is a godsend.

A lot of new faces but we’re not really young. Only one freshman started last night and only 2 played. It’s a team primarily made up of transfers.

Slightly taller, slightly less athletic Dirk Nowitzki. Even ugly as sin like him, too.

GTFO. You're telling me that in 2 years CV would be able to destroy someone like Kevin Garnett in an NBA playoffs series?

At Connor's age, Dirk was the 2nd best player on an NBA team.

Yes, that's exactly what I said. I definitely said Connor Vanover is exactly like Dirk Nowitzki and his career arc would be identical. Definitely not a reference to their games being extremely similar.

One thing I’ve noticed about Vanover is that he has nice hands. I think he has more athleticism than you might think from looking at him.

Did hogville clean people out again?
Bunch of people who don’t understand comparisons or sarcasm.

I still stand by him being the best center since Steven Hill.

Who remembers THE SHOT against TN?

I guess it just depends on what you are considering a Center, Portis and Gafford both played those roles for us

Yeah I'm not putting Hill above Portis or Gafford

He's a great passer too.

Steven Hill has the second most blocked shots in school history behind Oliver Miller.

I loooooved Steven Hill. But he also averaged 4 PPG and 3.5 RPG for his career. Incredible shot blocker but not a terribly well-rounded player. He gets brownie points for the Tennessee shot though

He played some good defense but his offensive game killed his chances in the pros.

I don’t see CV passing Portis but he very well could end up contributing more than Gafford.
