He is a game changer for this team. His presence alone gives a very young team a safety blanket while they try to get into a groove.

This cat could develop into one of the best 7 footers to play the game. What he's lacking...strength...is attainable. Not many 7 footers stroke a 3 ball like him.

He's also got really good hands and instincts for the ball.

Count me surprised and impressed. He's the real deal.

Imagine if we had him last year.

If only he had moved here because of racism and not because his grandmother was dying he would've got to play.

Didn't Mike Anderson not recruit him because he wasn't a good fit?

His presence was the difference between an easy victory and a dog fight last night. Having said that I think he’ll struggle defending some of the bangers in league play. Those beam pole type player don’t hold up well verses the thick power forwards.

He wasn't athletic enough for Mike.

I mean he really wouldn't fit with his system but that doesn't give Mike a pass

Best center since Steven Hill.

Bummer he shaved his man bun, I’d pay good money to Just Conor Vanover.

Slightly taller, slightly less athletic Dirk Nowitzki. Even ugly as sin like him, too.

He must have a little athletic ability if he scored six points, 16 rebounds and had six blocks.

I didn't say he wasn't athletic. I said he wasn't as athletic as Dirk Nowtizki. At his age Dirk was playing tennis. Connor ain't moving around no tennis court

I'd pay good money to see that, though. He'd probably look like Waluigi in Mario Tennis

I know but some posters were saying he would struggle in the paint once SEC play gets going.

I believe he will help us out in rebounding tremendously.

He's definitely not going to bang down low, but I seriously doubt we ask him to do that much. At the end of the day, no matter how much strength he's giving up, 7'3'' is going to get rebounds no matter what. It's also not like years past where he's our only big option.

I imagine him playing much more of a stretch 4 role while we put Smith and Williams at the 5. Similar to how Dallas ran their offense with Dirk. I'd love to see us implement some pick and role at the top of the key with Vanover. Would be deadly with his skillset.

I expect him to a bit when it comes to guys pushing him around. But I also expect him to make more 3s than your typical big as well as like drewbie said at 7'3 you'll get rebounds regardless.

Musselman isn't going to ask va over to bang down low with sec bigs often if he ever does though
