I’ve said this from the beginning: if Hunter is allowed to pick we will hire Odom. I’ve been promised in every forum that Hunter would be gone by the end of October. Well he is still here and he was just selected chair of the CFP, he isn’t going anywhere. Welcome Odom.

I think he’s smart enough to know if he fricks up this hire he’s on limited time so he wouldn’t make that move. Who knows though

I think people hire who they are comfortable with and know, pretty sure he tried to hire Sampson before Muss. I also heard he contacted Holgorsen before Pitt.

I'm still seeing and hearing plenty that Franklin is still in play.
I"m holding out hope until I see otherwise.
That said, I'm seriously ok with Fleck the more I think about it. I'd be good with Golesh or Sumrall. I'd be GREAT with Chesney.
I'd need some time to get on board with Dabo.... would have to see him about face on the portal.
Mullens talk has gone quiet.... anyone else notice that?
Also with all the smoke screens...... wonder if we are about to see a left field hire
Like.... what if theres a candidate out there we don't know about that's not happy with a contract or situation, wants a fresh start but has been quiet about it. We have covertly signed the deal and are waiting until the season is over out of respect......

Dillingham was a hot night right off the bat, it died like 2 weeks ago. That always sounded like a he needs a raise/more booster involvement there.
Mullen responded to a tweet saying he has 0.00 interest in the Arkansas job so that’s prob why his name is nonexistent.
If we strike out on big names I’m hoping we’re not too late on Golesh.

The numerous near losses turn to actual losses for Mullen, hard to justify a guy who does equal or worse than Odom.

Not entirely sure Clemson beats Memphis this year, either. They just lost to Duke.

Defensive minded head coaches just make me nervous at Arkansas. We’ll never get the talent of the top teams in defense consistently and you’re always at risk of losing your OC if he’s good and not being able to find someone to replace him. Just a gamble all around.
