As depressing as playing them in LR on rivalry weekend would be, I would take it 10 of 10 times over the shopping cart war with Mizz. Hopefully we get a few years of BF LSU before the culling.

I'd take Dilly in a heartbeat, no doubt about it. Not complaining about Golesh at all though. But maybe all this Golesh talk is a smokescreen for Dilly or Campbell.

I really do feel like Golesh is gonna be one hell of a coach for us. The timing is right and we need someone with his passion and fire to step in and get this program going in the right direction.

I think it says a ton that he's being viewed as a candidate for multiple programs. Our current head coach isn't.

If Golesh doesn't invest and hire an elite defensive staff (NOT TODD ORLANDO), he will fail miserably at Arkansas.
He has shown throughout his short HC career that he does not win games he should not and he often loses to teams he should beat.
He also has a horridic record against winning teams. This is Chad Morris 2.0.
I hope I'm wrong, but the data says otherwise when you dig into his record.

I'm hoping it's all smoke and we get a Cal type hire. That's what we need at this point. Anything else and it's over for the program. Golesh is not going to put asses in the seats next year.

It’s a really bad comparison. SMU was getting blown out almost every week under Morris, except his last season where he still got blown out a lot. Not every G5 coach is Morris v2.
Morris was supposed to be an offensive savant and his offenses finished 72nd, 71st, 25th in total offense
Golesh has finished 17th, 33rd(with backup QB and 2nd in total offense

Golesh would be a great hire. It sounds like someone jumped the gun with the information and now others AU included will try for him.
We thought we had Sumral but our lazy arse AD did not lock him up. I expect we will publicly say we tried for Golesh but the AD is content to let Durk be the HC.
I think Ole Miss may end up looking at Golesh as well if FL locks up Sumral.
