OU eliminates GT just to add a little more salt to the wound.

There needs to be a staff shakeup of some kind. I know DVH won't do it. He's too damn loyal, but it needs to be done.
At this point I'm done with Hobbs completely. I don't care if he gets the 98 Braves to transfer in next year. He's proven that if he can't get guys in that are already can't miss prospects at a baseline he's useless.

There are no Blaine Knights or Isaiah Campbells in Matt Hobbs' tenure. Kopps was good because he was an eleventeenth year senior pitching to college kids and the staff around him was complete arse. That's why he had to pitch 4 billion innings.

I still can't believe Kopps never even got close to the majors and is now pitching in Mexico.

Wicklander was solid. There are some guys who have improved (Noland, McElvain) but it’s definitely a mixed bag.

Noland
There might be some rose-tinted glasses there. His freshman year he had a 4.0 ERA. He barely pitched as a Sophomore and Junior. As a senior his ERA was 3.65. He was pretty much the same pitcher his entire career here.

He did have a good stretch in Omaha though after only recording one out against Oklahoma State in the regional. Definitely ended on a high note, but very hit and miss his whole time here. His last 4 SEC starts he finished the 5th one time and gave up at least 5 in all of them.

Yet even among it all, it's still another year we can say at least we aren't Florida State.

It's insane what the program continues to endure.

Link Jarrett was an incredible hire for them and still apparently picked right up where Mike Martin left off.

Pitching one more year in Mexico.
He'll more than likely call it quits after this season.

Another wash out.

His wife definitely thought he'd be in the show for a decade plus.

Losing is losing is losing. Nobody wants to hear the apologist bullshite anymore. Every fricking sports program we have besides men’s track and field shits the bed every time. We have a fricking culture of losing and people who did or could donate are losing interest fast or already have. Nobody honestly gives a shite about courtside recliners or gaudy practice facilities. This coaching staff needs to be proactive, have some class, and hang it up. They’ve gone as far as they ever will and continue to prove it year after year with an embarrassment of riches. Gotta find your “have to” and just fricking win and we can’t do that because every team and every team’s coach are led by a bunch of baby back bitches.

That and then Dave shite the bed by not trying to rally his team to finish that game and fight harder let alone show up for game three. That was as close to winning it all as we’ll ever see in baseball.

Yeah I'm sure after game 2 he went into the locker room, threw his hands up and said, "Well, we tried. Oh well."

What's the old saying... "it could always be worse".

Hopefully we win a championship before we get to that many appearances without one.

With football I'm already there.

With basketball I'm stoked we are back in the national spotlight again, but I have my doubts about Calipari winning a championship. I thought Musselman was a much better x's and o's guy, and was all about the analytics. But for reasons I'm not privy to knowing, he's gone. Cal at least keeps the brand strong. Maybe he will prove me wrong.

Baseball is the one sport we actually stand a legitimate chance to win it all. So this year was pretty disheartening the way things started, and unfortunately ended. We did get better 2nd half of season, but fell flat in Lawrence.

Always figured Cal would win us a bunch of draft championships and never an actual national championship.

IMO if he were to get some new assistants, specifically ones that could make defense as important as offense, he would improve the odds of winning it all.

I just feel like he has a bunch of yes men around him, and not ones that are motivated to do more than whats asked.

Kenny Payne is supposedly the "BIG MAN" coach. But nothing I saw this year indicates he did any sort of coaching. I mean I couldn't believe how bad our big men were on defense. They were failing at the most fundamental shite that most kids learn in high school. Just look at the dudes record at Louisville...

After seeing it happen one way or another so many years in a row. Kind of seems like he did. I vividly remember watching him cower into the dugout when they put the go-ahead on before we even lost game 2. We let a team with a pederast beat us and win a natty. Only in sick Razorback sports lore does that happen.
