Stop upsetting people with reality. Although you bring up a good point on DVH being Mark Richt - I’d be remiss to say that he hasn’t kept us consistently elite or damned near close every year and he is a great person outside of coaching who does a ton (mostly quietly within and for the community).

As some had said during the season in pressers you could tell DVH did not like this squad. And yesterday in the post game interview he was smiling and laughing things off several times. He seemed glad this miserable season was over.

Probably didn’t like it because he knew
It sucked.

Hunter JustaCheck has imploded all sports with his NIL failures.

I am sure Dave is sick of him too. There is a reason he signed with Jimmy Sexton in 2024. NIL budget shrinking, 7 years (at the time) left on his contract.

The whole Athletics Department is in need of a colossal colon cleansing with the biggest turd, Hunter, being the first one to drop.

Idk who she is, but depending on follower count/conversion to sales, it could be multi millions per year.

Lorenzini the only notable one. #38 ovr CA and #1 LHP in California by PG. #20 overall #1 LHP CA by PBR. Was expected to be a decent piece for next year but one year of Hobbs and he bolted. Probably to UCLA. Not great to lose your top pitching recruit after just 1 season.

Nothing to see here. I’m sure ole Nate and crew will have us a crack squad next year because in Arkansas “Next year is always our year!”

Decent depth guy, the Crowder kid yesterday looks real good though.

We also have the #1 overall JUCO player Holden Hering RHP coming in assuming he doesn't get a high enough draft grade and makes it to campus (expected to make it to campus).

Speaking of JUCO rankings, the amount of pitchers OU took is absolutely bonkers.

Heard an interview and pod and it was DVH saying we almost got a bunch of great players but we were in Omaha and couldn’t have them visit in person. Saban used to complain about the worst thing in NC years was the recruiting he couldn’t do. This seems like it could be taken care of by having 1-2 coaches stay back and just show off the facilities.

Yes, several coaches have bitched about when the portal opens for baseball being way too early and if you advance far most of the top guys are already gone before you're back home.

Only aided by the fact that not a single Omaha team from last year even made the Supers this year.

I don't understand why the NCAA won't change the portal until after CWS ends, they quickly changed it for hoops to after season ends.

Sort of borne out in the portal rankings last year. Not a single Omaha team in the top 10 of last year’s portal rankings. LSU was #12, we were #15, and that was about it.

Meanwhile Georgia was #1 in the portal rankings and is seeing that come to fruition.

Portal rankings for baseball are by far the least accurate. Just not enough scouts for so many players and not popular enough to hire more or put the time in. Really just comes down to staff evaluations outside of maybe your top clear cut handful of guys.

We both do, doesn’t make enough money to get that kind of consideration.
