He can play 1B too so doesn't mean Pompey is necessarily gone.

Least surprising portaling ever.

To be fair to him, I don’t think we put him in the best position to succeed.

It’s tough enough to start as a true freshman in the SEC given how the league is getting older, but asking a true freshman to start at shortstop (and replace a Golden Spikes winner, to boot) is a no win situation.

Poor recruitment by Dave once again.

Disagree.

Kid was a top recruit that everybody wanted and was named Preseason SEC Freshman of the Year. It just didn’t work out.

Dave was better at player Development in 2018 and before and I believe that team was from a recruiting class ranked 58th.

Ever since that year, they haven't reached the CWS finals and have been bounced out of the regionals three out of the last four years.

Arkansas has better talent now more than ever in the DVH era but they just keeping finding ways to melt in the post season.

That Kjerstad and Casey Martin team in 2020… was the year it would have happened.

Let's say your theory is correct.

This means DVH gave up or retired on the job almost ten years ago.

Think about that, Nolan made it 4 years post "give up". Houston Nutt 10 years total.

Being the HC of a secondary sport has its advantages.

The truth is it wasnt DVH, tIncline started with Vitello and Johnson. tDecline started when they left and they have had more success everywhere they have been on college two superior NC coaches as assistants.

DVH is a loser who's attached at the hip to two other losers with their biggest fan being the biggest loser of them all Hunter Yurachek.

2018 was the last nail for DVH and Yuracuck doesn't have the balls to fire him.

Look on the bright side, we're stacking the track trophy case

I'm fairly convinced DVH is the Dabo of college baseball, refusing to adapt to the new way of doing things.

Course, there is one big difference between those two.

The team that lost 5 in a row and lost to nearly every decent team they played?

This makes no sense considering the best team he ever fielded was last year.

Dave is still trying but has been struggling in the post season considering the level of talent.

Yeah what a horrible year making the semis only losing to the champ. We should shut the program down and save the money.
