ARKANSAS (No. 9 SEC, No. 22 nationally)
quote:
Analysis: The first full class for Sam Pittman is a real success. He and his staff signed 22 prospects last week from eight different states. They kept offensive tackle Terry Wells, the No. 1 player in Arkansas home, and finished with four of the state's top eight prospects. Two of the 22 signees are four-stars, and those are Florida athlete Raheim Sanders and Texas wide receiver Ketron Jackson. With this class combined with the play this season gives Arkansas some real momentum this off-season.

He would fit Pittman's criteria on the multiple year eligibility for taking a OL transfer.
Cunningham and Clary coming back helped not needing a graduate.

is Crawford immediately eligible or will he sit for a year?

Could be eligible if NCAA passes new transfer rule.
They (NCAA) will be voting soon on the 1 time transfer rule for immediate eligiblity.

Crawford would've been off to another SEC school most likely but he didn't initially make the grades to qualify and committed to playing at Kilgore College, a JUCO in Texas. Things worked out however and Crawford was able to sign an NLI with Charlotte.
quote:
Due to NCAA legislation in effect because of COVID-19, Crawford doesn't lose a year of eligibility for his time at Charlotte and he still has five years to play four seasons. If the NCAA rules positively this month on new transfer rules, the Texas native could be eligible to play right away, using up his one-time, penalty-free transfer.

Pittman noted that the return of left tackle Myron Cunningham and guard Ty Clary may have changed their needs in the transfer portal but they could still go after one more offensive lineman in the portal, as well as a couple defensive linemen.
Crawford is the Hogs' second transfer addition so far for the 2021 season. Arkansas added another former 4-star, Penn State cornerback Trent Gordon, the day before early signing last month.

Apparently Crawford is now 6'8, 345
That's a large human being. He's listed at 6'5, 335 on his recruiting profile.

Well that’s a kick in the nuts right after Stepp leaves.

Why tf would you go to FSU with what all has been coming out about Norvell since he arrived?

Norvell’s been recruiting for years. Probably a comfort level commit after Stepp left.
