Blueprint Sports (BPS), the industry leader in full-service name, image, and likeness (NIL) collectives, proudly announces the launch of Arkansas Edge, the premier NIL Collective supporting all 465-plus University of Arkansas student-athletes.

quote:

Each and every gift makes a difference. Starting at only $25 a month, community supporters can become members of the collective and show their support for the community with brand-new merchandise showcasing the new logo. As part of its launch goal, Arkansas Edge is seeking 5,000 Razorback fans to become members at $50 a month and an additional 5,000 Razorback fans to join at $100 a month.

Thanks to a generous donation, the first $1 Million dollars raised for Arkansas Edge will be matched, resulting in a $2 million impact for the benefit of Razorback student-athletes.

quote:

To celebrate the launch of Arkansas Edge, the collective will debut at the highly anticipated men’s basketball game against Duke on Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena. Fans in attendance and those who visit arkansasedgenil.com during the game, can enter to win autographed memorabilia.

Arkansas Edge will be staffed by a full-time, local team of dedicated professionals to manage the daily operations of the collective. The staff will work throughout the region to proactively fundraise from supporters, work with local non-profits who want to engage with student-athletes and engage with businesses who believe that working with student-athletes can help boost their business and brands. With the introduction of Arkansas Edge, the former OneArkansas Collective will retire after blazing the trail for NIL at the University of Arkansas.

This should have been done 2 yrs ago. I'd think most common folk would probably give $10-20/mo easily if they had any hope in the football program.

Right now, who is going to invest in "I don't know."

Well that's a good start. Now all these ordinary non-millionaire fans can put their money where their mouth is when it comes to shitting on our NIL situation. If you think it's crap and we're just poor wittle ol Arkansas that'll never win anything, you can do something to help or quit bitching now.

Are there rules/laws against NIL/collectives specifically for individual sports? Just seems like it would get more people to donate if they knew it was going to a sport they wanted.

They could before. It's been an option since the original collective started.

You're just being conditioned to think NIL is the issue.

Can someone explain to me like I'm five as to how this is any different from the OneArkansas NIL stuff that launched last year?

What exactly was overpaying for tickets, amenities, and merchandise doing before now?

It’s now run by a 3rd party that does this for a living instead of some local administrator on campus that is winging it. The expectation is that they will be more professional and do a better job advertising. They’re not off to a great job though getting caught with in the first 15 minutes of just copying and pasting from Maryland’s site.

Texas's NIL collective started in November of 2022 and was actually a merger of multiple existing UT collectives.

Ole Miss has had The Grove Collective since February 2022.

It took until November 2023 on the Hill because nobody is at the wheel.

Imagine how much money this collective makes today. People thought it was odd to announce it while the mood was so sour and then two hours later the Petrino news leaks. Genius move, if he is indeed the hire.

or genius if he’s not the hire, to leak the rumor, get the reaction donations, only to hire the OC from arizona. I’d hate it, but dammit I’d have to respect it

Damn you for even thinking that

Too much smoke for it to not be happening at this point. Lots of national media on it.
