KK is expendable, just the truth.

He was second ranked only to Moody, I’m pretty sure healthy he can get his minutes back.

I think in the final rankings he was actually ranked higher than Moody surprisingly

63 to 46 final composite, Moody being #46.

KK was kinda weird in HS, not flashy and never really scored a whole lot. Was a floor general type. Watched him in person at Bass Pro event and he just blended in with the others.

Doesn't mean he can't be a great player and I do hope he stays, but if not no one is losing any sleep over him.

This is what I said about Moody all last year.

If he's thinking about leaving it's because he sees the writing on the wall in their pick-up games.

Oh well, at least it was expected.

NBA draft and hire an agent? I don't think I've seen a mock with him being drafted.

6’9 F Akol Mawein (2021) of Navarro College has requested & received his release from Arkansas & reopened his recruitment

Mawein averaged 12.2 ppg & 5.2 rpg this past season

The move does not come as a huge surprise following the rumors of a potential departure from associate head coach David Patrick, who was Mawein’s primary recruiter and has had a long standing relationship with the 6-10 power forward.

Shouldn't be too surprising, sounds like Patrick is heading to Oklahoma and he was the big reason for Akol committing.

Akol production has started to slide recently though so I don't think its very concerning and I bet Muss finds a better or just as good replacement.

Iyiola entering the portal as well. I believe that means we now have 3 spots open?

Also a transfer reminder of past years.

It could be another 3 weeks to a month before we have our final roster additions.

Last year
Justin Smith, GTR F, Indiana - June 8, 2020

Jimmy Whitt, GTR G, SMU - May 27, 2019

Doesn't seem optimistic. At least Ford is a lock.

Hope you're right. Akol seemed to have some good traits and a nice fit. Kind of late in the game to find far better quality but I may be way off base.
