Makhi will leave if we get another big. That's why he hasn't announced he's staying yet.

Works for me.

Fall simply isn't ready to play at this level.

Man it’s kinda surreal to be able to say this. Not that long ago if we had a 5 star big man coming in we’d expect him to be the savior of our program and take us to the final four, then our fans would burn him down if he didn’t accomplish it.

True, but I'm just giving my opinion and I'm not interested in burning anyone.

I'll also say that I think player ratings are awful today. I would watch the McDonald's AA game in the 80's and I knew I was watching future stars of the game. Today you have a handful and the rest are more buzz than talent.

Fall may develop into a great player, eventually, but I'm just not seeing it now. But he has the body type that you take a chance with, because it's hard to find players that tall and that athletic. He could learn a lot from Brazile.

Fall is arguably the top defensive big in this class.

Can't wait to watch him go to work.

I don't know why everyone is so down on Makhi. I think we'll see some noticeable improvement in his game next year. Muss would've already processed him if he didn't think it was worth keeping him. Having Fall and Brazile will take some pressure off him.

Maybe he can gets some tips from JWill on how to draw charges.

Until he is officially back like Walsh as well, I'm not including him.

There's a reason he hasn't announced he's coming back yet. He might return but it's not guaranteed right now. Depends on if we can get a good big.

I like him ok but 0 rebounds against UCONN wasn’t great. We need difference makers to get to the next level. Not sure Mitchell’s more than a solid, slightly above replacement level player.

I think he played pretty well overall and would provide some continuity, which we might be lacking in if Devo and Walsh leave

It is possible with nil to have 15 guys and the last 2 actually not technically be on scholarship, just have an nil deal to cover it.

Don't scholarship players have certain privileges walk-ons don't get?

It’s a strange time. Unless a guy is truly rare (2-3 guys per class max) he’s not going to come in and dominate guys that are 22 and borderline NBA players themselves.

NIL has officially killed the one and done era. There are going to be some really good teams in the next few years I think.

Rumor tonight on 247 is that Devo is going to withdraw from the draft and transfer elsewhere. Could be nothing but nobody is shooting it down like they have other rumors.

ETA m: Curtis finally popped in later and said he’s heard nothing about this from Devo or the coaches.

There is no way devo plays for a different college. I refuse to believe it.
