I fear only Makhel has the combo of muscle+height to keep Sanogo in check, but he’ll pickup fouls quick trying to do it. Sanogo is built like a fricking bulldozer.

And Kansas was undefeated when they had a lead at halftime

Until yesterday

Not sure why everybody is scared of UConn after they beat a way over seeded St Mary’s team. That team had no business being in the tournament.

Their 3 claim to fame wins are Vandy, San Diego St, and Gonzaga. Twice Gonzaga blew them up, Houston, Colorodo St, and Washington as well.

The WAC is a one bid league and that’s all it should ever be.

I actually really like that St Mary's team, great program.

Shame their leading scorer got hurt for the rest of the game after they led with him the whole time.

10-3 over last 13 to end the season.

2 losses were by a combined 6 points to Sweet 16 teams, one on the road. Other loss by 2 to a NCAA tourney 2-seed.

3/8 Maui teams in the Sweet 16 with that Creighton win.

I ain’t scared of that.

We just played the toughest schedule on the toughest league in College Basketball all while having injuries and drama and still made the tournament and just knocked out the #1 seed.

We would have beat Creighton with a competent officiating crew with a team that was green and just starting out.

Neutral floor ain’t many beating this team. Hell we beat the Kansas 8 last night.

Outside of one game, the same two guys are their leading scorers each game. Muss will take at least one away (Dick from KU) and see how they adapt.

4 of their top 6 players shoot 35%+ from three.

Edit: Make that 5 of their top 7.

Edit 2: compare that to Kansas - only 2 of their top 7 shot 35%+ from three.

Much rather have MT State’s top player. Former 4 star who finally started figuring it out.

It seems like Makhel‘s minutes have really dropped off the last few games. Hope we can find a way for him to be effective on both ends of the court to help shut Sonogo down.
