Eh, to me it seems more like they bought into his rah-rah bullshite and were more committed to him than the university.

I don't think so. He went 2-10, he had to know early on this season hed get fired. I assume he told the kids to hold on. That's what I meant by soft commitments.

Danny says Chad already has an offer to be a P5 OC next year. My guess would be at Auburn but it could be at a Texas school like TCU or A&M.

Nah, I don't think he knew for sure he was out the door until halftime at Western Kentucky.

Nobody that wanted him fired should be surprised that would also lose all his commits.

They aren't good enough to overcome Chad and staff's coaching and game planning abilities so you gotta take the good with the bad.
Whomever is hired as HC is likely to bring in a few recruits this year as well.
First red flag for Chad was the abyssmal recruiting class his first year as he had no one to bring along with him as by his own admission he wasn't recruiting players of that level...

Morris is never coming back. Dixon is going to Texas. Gentry most likely to Utah. A couple of them are taking a visit to Baylor before the season ends so we just have to hope they don’t commit then.

When the new coach is hired, I'll probably make a new football recruiting thread for 2020.
