That and he relies on transfers too much for me

I would agree, but I’m not sure he would have to do that here.

He’s not my favorite, but I wouldn’t be disappointed. I believe he could help keep some of the in state players we have been losing.

Reminder the BOT meets tomorrow and Thursday so one could assume HY already has somebody lined up.

He should have his guy ready to sign just waiting on the papers to be drafted.

You do not fire a coach like Anderson to start your coaching search and think the hot mid-major coach in the tourney this year is going to be good enough.

I think Sampson is the fall-back guy. They will make Beard say no though I'm hearing.

Sampson is getting old, only concern there for me. Will be 64 next season.

I normally agree but there is no reason to think he couldn't coach another 10 years when looking at some of the other older coaches in college basketball. Obviously the dream is getting an elite coach in his 40s/50s that can stay for 20 years plus.

What about an out of the left field hire?

I like Kelvin, Beard, and Buzz....

But?

That was more Long's thing. HY seems like a more brute-force guy.

I'm working on a thread about that

If all falls through I like Forbes at East Tennessee St. and Brannen at Northern Kentucky

Indeed. He didn’t hide his unhappiness with the basketball program.

Honestly, I'm still shocked Mike was willing to go down for his assistants.

Drew, I full expected him to go down for his loyalty. It is who, he is.

Gregg Marshall reportedly has interest, not as hot a name as he used to be but I'm down.

Yeah, people will look at this past year and use it as a negative but would be very pleased with him as well.

Why? Doesn't he some how strike not a man based on his principles and beliefs?

I would be more disappointed in a coach who caved into AD/Booster meddling of his staff...

Ehh he knows he’ll be able to go to a smaller program and bring them along.

There has been a rumor for awhile that Bill Self is the next Bulls coach.
