I'd imagine the Thursday night crowd will probably be bigger than the early afternoon Saturday crowd would have been.

Same here, and I lived in central AR for most of my life and attended plenty of games/tailgates at WMS. We've played like shite there ever since the ULM nightmare on Markham, might as well try something different with a low impact opponent.
I don't think this will help the attendance problem with WMS though, in fact they'll probably struggle to sell above 35-40k. Without delving further into the stadium debate, most of the LR crowd is more blue collar and probably has to work until 6pm Thursday night and has to return to work at 5am the next morning.

My Dad took me WMS in the 60's and 70's. It's time to end tWarDump and move all the games to the Campus. Your boycott of all things Razorbacks will not be missed. Find another team to root for.

Since when does a university system have to handicap its flagship campus by remaining subservient to a metro area 3 hours away? LR has plenty of other universities if you folks want to quit supporting UA.
It is UAs job to support the entire state, but that doesn't mean it has to spend millions every year for the pleasure of a small subgroup of fans. UA has been doing you a favor all these years. The entitlement of LR fans that this favor should continue at the expense of NWA fans is mind boggling

Jeff Long has done every thing he could to disenfranchise Little Rock and everything south of it.
From scheduling terribly shitty opponents to now moving the one shitty game to a time when a lot of the regular fans won't be ABLE to go, and Jeff doesn't have any fricking clue what he just did to those who DO try to go.
Rush hour, Little Rock, UAMS lots full of students and teachers. It's going to be a fricking nightmare for those that give a shite enough to even TRY to get there.
It is all well and good though. If Jeff says 'frick half of Arkansas', then half of Arkansas says 'frick Jeff Long'. I have heard many many people whose attitude is the same as mine.
I will watch from a distance with mild interest, but not spending another dollar or giving another dollar towards Razorback athletics until Jeff Long is gone. And maybe not ever again.
GONE are the days that the Razorbacks were 'the state's' team. Jeff killed that. South Arkansas is slowly becoming LSU/Ole Miss territory as much as Razorback. And if that is an acceptable price to Jeff, then so be it.

Jesus go suck a dick or something to cheer yourself up. It's not that big a deal. The stadium wasn't gonna fill regardless and at least this way we can watch the game on Thursday night to start the season. Gives good visibility to the program.
