Nope. Jalen played like shite at Tennessee. Never defended him for that performance. I'm simply pointing out that despite a great road win tonight some folks want to criticize instead of celebrating a great win. Why?

I'm criticizing the moron OP of this thread. If you have a problem with the topic of this thread, your problem is with him not with people who are correctly pointing out exactly what you are saying.

Not sure if the defense was just weaker but the design run plays looked way better and more like a read option offense would be run under a guy like RG3. I hope we continue to play to his strengths and develop the offense with more wrinkles under this, then to try to make him something hes not.

lol, you nailed it. We do have some really knowledgeable fans here, but unfortunately, some of our most ignorant post the most. I made a positive post about Alabama and their chances to make the playoffs after the Tennessee game and got like 30 downvotes and told I was clueless and delusional. Was told the only game we’d win from that point was Mercer. The same week we heard Milroe had taken over the program and was holding it hostage. It’s been crazy, but they’re entertaining at least

Amazing how most of the ignorant posters disappear when Milroe has a good game, huh?

If he plays poorly, all sorts of people come out of the woodwork to say he's trash and we're doomed. However, when he plays well, they're nowhere to be found.

I’ll never understand the hatred for this quarterback. I know he’s not the most consistent quarterback we’ve ever had, but overall, he’s been a pretty effective college quarterback. When he’s at his best, he’s nearly unstoppable

I understand that people can be frustrated at times and want to criticize him, but you're right, there's so much hatred for him, that it's just weird. I don't think anyone is arguing that you can't criticize players, but some posters go so far that it seems like it's personal.

Truly bizarre.

Lol!

We played against LSU dude so chill.

Texas A&M beat LSU with their backup (running QB)!

They can't stop running QB's.

He didn't do anything special but the play calling played into his strengths and LSU weakness.

Would have been nice if he had ran when he had the chance vs 10rc.

Don't paint with too broad-a-stroke. My criticisms have been directed primarily at the coaches. Last night, we saw a complete game (except the bust-half effort on the long run on special teams)

He's great at designed runs. I don't think many have ever disputed that. It's when we try to make him play QB that he struggles.

I don't think it's coincidence that his two best games came after bye weeks. The coaches draw up a good plan and have 2 weeks to teach it to him. Georgia adjusted in the second half, and LSU couldn't.

I have never thought Milroe was a terrible football player. But, I do think he's below average in his knowledge and ability to process and adjust to what he sees both pre and post snap. And, in my opinion, that is the most important part of being a QB. This is Alabama. It's inexcusable. If he couldn't run, he wouldn't sniff the field.

As I said in the other thread, this shite is stupid. We all root for the same team. But people would rather just call others out and be “right”

He is a great runner and as long as we play teams that can’t stop that we will be fine. But if we run into a team that can, we have to rely on his arm. Hopefully if that game comes he rises to the occasion.

You make good points - which have been raised before. But It looked like the week off was still productive.

On the surface, I noticed a Milroe, who make a couple of reads, then (quickly < 2-3 secs) checked down or checked out w/ his legs. And I saw him throw the ball away when he didn't have to. He was even different with his running style, knowing when pour on the gas, or run it out of bounds.

He looked like an evolved version of himself last night.

Those specific people are losers.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're LSU alters. Remember they're the braintrusts who demand Nuss over Jayden Daniel's a couple years ago

Now they hate Nuss and pretend they've always loved JD

It was pouring rain and we rushed for 300+ yards. Why would we throw it more than necessary?

Well they were pretty quiet and mad last night so they have to come up with some reason to pour cold water on the excitement

I'm convinced it's just a personal dislike of Jalen. The same people who threw a bitchfit when he threw it 40+ times against Tennessee are the same ones now complaining he only threw for a 100 yards. He did exactly what these idiots have been screaming for, hit checkdowns and run when there's green grass, and they still want to bitch instead of celebrate crushing LSU.
