With the amount of players leaving now since DeBoer took over, I credit him.

I would love to know the real reason a lot of the are leaving. I know not all of them are going because the staff "encouraged" them to go. James Smith just entered the portal and we were counting on him to be the next guy up to breakout. Now he's in the portal with Russaw. Not good.

Smith is leaving because he's tight with Qua and he's not happy about how Qua is being treated. It's not rocket science.

Certainly not all are encouraged to go. You don’t know the reason ? it’s green .

It’s big time money for these kids

Please...these players "enter the portal" to see if anyone out there will give them a dollar more.

The lack of school pride and loyalty means today's players will never be thought of as the stars from generations past are...but I seriously doubt they care. Just hired guns.

If you recruit from a poor household, you're taking a risk.

Some of the players obviously don’t feel like they’re getting developed.

If you’re on the offensive or defensive line, after this year why would you feel like you can be showcased enough to get to the nfl?

Show me a kid who does. What's your point?

I gotta say, you post A LOT and I generally can't follow what the hell you're trying to say in the majority of your posts

Every journo, simp, and bleeding heart that pushed to transform the game so the players could “get their fair share” dismissed all of obvious unintended consequences that would happen to the sport.

Not saying every 5 star under Saban was too full of Bama, but it’s definitely a different game now than the one we grew up watching. It’s as if the sport we loved died when Saban retired.

Sorry, I'm not saying he is, but I think Qua and Smith may have the perception that Qua is being mistreated because we're asking Qua to move to ILB.

Smith is a big loss only in the sense that he was one of our better options. He still wasn't great. Hell, the whole DL was a disappointment IMO. The misevaluations and inability to land elite guys there by Saban at the end of his tenure and in a couple years of Deboer has been a major reason for our defensive run game struggles.

I genuinely didnt know. Wasnt asking a gotcha question or anything. It is what it is I guess. Its a different world than just 10-15 years ago. Bama is just a semi-pro team now with mercenaries
