Moses and Kaho in the middle. That said, we may be bringing some young guys like Dean in who can push for PT immedietly.

I think Moses moves to Mike and Mack LB. Kaho and Nakobe Dean split time at Will LB. kinda like 2011. Hightower at mike, Nico Johnson (run) and CJ Mosley (pass) at Will.

he is not a first round pick. I should be shocked if he left. Mosley has been better then him

If Alabama had more depth at inside LB this year Dylan Moses would probably be putting his hand in the dirt on 3rd downs a whole lot more. He can get after it.

Mack is gone. Ya'll need to accept that he's not coming back.. he has been projected 1st round picks.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, and I was a huge Mack fan before this season, but he's been a bit of a disappointment. Seems lost out there at times and isn't as physical as I thought he'd be. He doesn't have great instincts. Moses has a much higher ceiling.

*It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to eat crow for this comment come the championship game/playoffs...

Not at you, but I think many fans are not fully understanding the bind that many RPOs put inside LBs in, particlualrly when the targeted passing area is the soft triangle between the ILBs, Safeties, and Corners. As a former all-state LB, I can definitely tell you that my keys in the late 90s were completely different from what LBs have to read today.

Literally, I read the triangle of guard, fullback, QB. Sans fullback, I read the deep back. I never had to read a run look that immediately translated into a pass play near my zone - and play-action is a completely different animal. Lots more time there.

I think we need to view differently how downhill, or "physical", modern LBs can play. The game is just so different.

Foster ended five people in kick coverage by the end of his sophomore season.

I was more worried about him injuring himself as a sophomore.

I read where Saban said something along the lines of Benton had some growing up to do and other reports that he is lazy. Is this still the case, or has the light finally come on for Benton? I’ve seen him play some on special teams and I seriously doubt Saban would ever play a “lazy” player, so I’m not sure how much truth there was to these reports.

VanDarius Cowan’s dumbass really put us in a tough spot regarding ILB.

I understand what you're saying, but I guess my actual worry with Mack is that he doesn't look as good this year as he did last year, which can only mean that the added responsibility is too much for him right now.

His foot injury is likely slowing him down some, too

Do yall think Moody will play his way onto the field down the line? He came in with some hype as one to look out for in due time.

JMO but I think Moody might need to lose a little bit of weight to gain some speed that is required against all the spread type teams we play. Not that he has to be lock down cover man , just be able to play in space some
