Everyone knows about the stars like Julio, Maze, Cooper, Ridley, and the legendary 2017 freshmen receivers. But who is a receiver that you felt did their job well but didn’t grab the headlines quite like the big-named stars did?

I’m gonna go with Darius Hanks. Dude was a clutch possession receiver for us.

Kevin Norwood. That dude was clutch and always stepped up in the big moment.

Kenny Bell also deserves some respect

Same two that I immediately thought of. Hanks is another good one.

Maze also was special. He had some big moments in addition to elite PR skills

I agree with all of the above but I'm going to throw out another name: OJ Howard. Dude was underutilized and underrated. When we did feature him, he showed out. But we didn't do it nearly enough. When we needed a big play, OJ was usually money.

I have a great pic of Norwood catching a pass over the HoneyBadger that night we won it. Good reminder of his contributions. He's two feet above the all american picking it out of the air. It was his.

Throw some respect on Jake Coker's name. He was clutch as hell the last half of the 2015 season. He and Stewart made some big time plays that season. I know that the thread was about receivers and Stewart was really good. I also believe that Metchie was outstanding. He was a lower rated four star coming in but developed into a star by his third year. I see a similar player in Shazz Preston.

ArDarius Stewart

He was a really good blocker and great in yards after catch. I remember his twisting catch he made in the first Clemson title game. In the 2nd title game he had easily the most impressive throw of that game for Bama. It was a perfect sideline throw with a defender right in his face

Norwood. He came up big against LSU in the rematch and again in 2012 LSU game. Dude was clutch.

Maze by far but I believe you could bring Norwood in this conversation as well. However, one name I wanna bring in that doesn't get talked about much is Cam Sims. I believed he could have been a beast if the QB play was a bit better.

Most definitely I forgot about him, we had so many great complimentary receivers in the past

He was a TE, but Irv Smith doesn’t get brought up enough for how awesome he was.

Matt Cadell could make an argument if 2007 hadn’t turned into such a cluster.

As far as production, it has to be Ardarius Stewart or Maze.

Kevin Norwood had the knack for being a spark in big games though.

i think norwood and bell are really good picks. but i'm leaning to another guy. i cant remember if he had 2 or just 1 year under saban. but i think matt caddell was under used.

It’s gotta be Stewart or Norwood

Not mentioned yet, DeAndrew White

At this point almost every starting WR on a Bama title team has been nominated as the most underrated
