Yeah I don’t know how someone can believe this. Look at Oklahoma specifically. I’ve never been one to blame a single player but damn.

The Oklahoma and Tennessee games were some of the most pathetic displays of quarterback play I’ve ever seen.

I think that he tanked the last three games of the season. NIL was his only objective. He was so objectively bad even in the Auburn game. How bad was Auburn this year ? We turned it over four times and the barn only scored one touchdown and two field goals. That is horrid.

The pick six against Oklahoma was the final straw. It’s not that who threw it right to the db, he made a half-arse effort to tackle the guy and all he had to do is shove him outta bounds.

And he went for the leg sweep. “QB1” of the top CFB program doing that? W in tf. I mean it really confuses my total understanding of life to see that choice made.

That’s bullshite. He was bad against Tennessee, absolutely terrible against Oklahoma (the attempted tackle was an embarrassment), and bad against Michigan…but you think 18-24 for 250+ yds passing w/ 1 INT and 17 - 104 yds rushing w/ 3 TDs against Auburn is tanking and objectively bad?

Milroe has moved on now. How long are we gonna keep trashing a guy that has an SEC championship, a playoff appearance, a 6-0 record against UGA, LSU, & Auburn, and kept UGA from a likely three-peat?

Outside of South Carolina, in the regular season OU and UTe were the only defenses to be able to "expose" JM. Then the bowl game happened and UM exposed him a second time in 2024. But yes, some of the worst QB play at Alabama since Spencer Pennington and Brandon Avalos

The most embarrassing play in Alabama History. Should’ve been benched immediately.

Auburn had a pretty good defense that kept them in most games. I was kind of surprised that we played as well as we did on offense vs the barn.

They couldn't cover the TE and it appeared Sheridan or someone told Milroe to immediately look for him because we tore their butts up all game with the TE.

I guess that you missed the South Carolina game where he tried to hand the game to them on a silver platter with his boneheaded decision making. Hell, the game with Missouri was close until right before halftime because of our offense.

Nope, didn't miss that one but I tend to be more forgiving if we win the game. That being said, he wasn't good that game but he was nowhere near as bad there as he was in the three I mentioned. And I also don't recall him being on the field during the bungled onside kick at the end that almost cost us the game...

He threw for over 200+ yards and ran for 50+ and a TD...and he had no turnovers that game...not to mention, we won 34-0...WTH is there to complain about in that one?

Did you miss the game against UGA? Or the game against LSU? Or Wisconsin? When I watched him play, albeit frustrating at times, I saw both good and bad...and taking his Bama career as a whole, I'll remember the highs more than the lows...

Fortunately, Mizzou was a MASH unit in that game.

I believe Jalen will find out that there are many Naysayers in the NFL.

He played really well for 6 of the 8 quarters vs. UGA.

The LSU game (particularly in 2023) was not some awesome display of quarterbacking, however. Yes, we dominated those pathetic LSU defenses on the ground but Milroe didn’t exactly light them up through the air. Missed a lot of wide open guys in that 2023 matchup vs. the Tigers. We were lucky they were a historically bad defensive unit in 2023. Not complaining about the outcome of the games, but I don’t think his starts (and wins) vs. LSU is a favorable data point when looking at his ability to play quarterback.

He was 15-23 for 219 yds against LSU in ‘23 (Heisman winner Daniels was 15-24 for 219, 2 TDs, 1 INT in comparison); he had 20-155 yds rushing and 4 TDs (Daniels had 11-163 yds and 1 TD). Milroe had very similar stats going head to head against the Heisman winner, had zero turnovers, and we won by two TDs; that sounds like a pretty good data point to me…

cool story miLro played well against a horrible Lsu defense. (running not passing)

"15-23 for 219 yds against LSU in ‘23" .. this is not impressive, he is not a good passing QB.

16 TDs and 11 INTs on the season is HORRIBLE

Come on. You know the head to head stats people love to do for QBs has always been lacking in context because the QBs aren’t playing the same defense.

Did Milroe have a good game? Yes. But LSU had one of the worst defenses in the country. Alabama’s defense (18th) wasn’t very elite but they were certainly far better compared to LSU’s 108th ranked defense.

In addition Daniels played like 2.5 quarters and still put up about the same amount of yards on fewer touches. He played a great game but you have to be near perfect on every drive if your defense is that bad

Milroe was not a great QB for Alabama but he clearly had good games. LSU in 2023 was one of them. If you can't admit that, you're just hopeless.

That said, he didn't do a lot to show off his QB ability in that game. He did his damage on the ground. It would be like a guard who can't shoot 3s scoring a lot on layups because the other team can't guard against that.

Nonetheless, Milroe played well against LSU. In 2023 there was a lot pressure to score every time, and the team pretty much did. The turning point was the INT by Daniels. Milroe did a good job protecting the ball in that one.
