Most people that get a hip replaced are up and walking the next day. They want you moving as quickly as possible.
ETA: Walking being defined as upright and moving with assistance in a somewhat bipedal fashion. They aren't strolling down the hall like nothing happened.

And a hip replacement is strangely enough easier to recover from than healing a catastrophically injured hip.

I was basically relating my dad's story because of his age
I would think at 20 year old would have an advantage when it comes to healing, recovery and therapy.

I wasnt discounting your story. My father had a knee replacement at 65 and was up and moving that day.
However catastrophic injuries take more time than total replacements.

I've never done it in a card, but with the right movie, anything can happen. Can't be that much different than a sock

I'd also like to say that Trent Dilfer better get his arse to Birmingham and see Tua and his family. He single handedly put extra pressure on Tua's shoulders with all of those proclamations.

There's no way Tua should come back. And the reason is the way he plays. The dude is 6 ft and 210 pounds if we're lucky. He's solid, but he plays like he's Cam fricking Newton, not a guy that can get crushed by SEC linemen. He's hasn't learned that by now and it's quite evident that he won't. It's ingrained in him that if he just extends the play long enough, something positive will happen. It often does, but at the risk of the catastrophic, which was the result today. He's not going to stay injury free because he's not wired to play to stay injury free. I love that about the kid and I'm sure all of yall do too, but he's got to understand that he could get away with that shite in high school, but not anymore and don't even think about it at the next level. Move on and get paid and thanks for all you've done.
My biggest concern is that even with a full recovery, there will be lasting effects. I don't see how there couldn't be.

Tell me when I equated Tua's injury with the pressure. All I said, was that after all of the pressure that he put on Tua, the least he could do would be to visit Tua and the family.
What the hell is wrong with the board's reading comprehension?

If there are lasting effects it might be for the best meaning Tua may now look to get the ball out quicker and be less immobile and take fewer hits. He's got the arm and accuracy.

Nobody gives a shite about Trent Dilfer's "proclamations". Saying that he should go visit Tua and the family in the hospital is just dumb
