We've seen Willis McGahee go in the first and have a long career. Willis couldn't work out.

Given this is late in the year, he might not fully recover in time (5 months) for the draft

This is my thought. He could have months of being in a wheelchair. Then start the whole walking process after 2 or 3 months.

Totally different injury and how injury prone was McGahee?

I don’t like the Pats but I don’t think Brady is ready to retire. They can afford to sit him a year or two.

Tua's other injuries weren't serious.

Same question...why on earth would you assume he'd still be a first-round pick?

If I were an NFL GM and his recovery reports look good I'd be really tempted to take him with a late first round pick. It's a risk but the chance of reward is VERY high. The Raiders, for example, have two first round picks. If Tua's still on the board for that second one you gotta believe he would be worth a shot.

If he went to NO, I'd be furious. Those idiots bashed Ingram constantly. They don't deserve a guy like Tua

It's just my opinion, but no way a team takes him in the first. Too much guaranteed money for a guy who has been plagued by injuries. I don't even think they'll take him in the second if he can't work out for them.

I'm not saying that he'll come back, but the family might believe that it's worth it if he can prove he can stay healthy for a full season

I agree. Right now I don't even see him being drafted in the first 4 rounds. The contract for this year's first pick in the 4th round was less than $1M per year...a 4 year contract with a total value of $3.3M Taxes will take a huge chunk. He may end up with only a total of $500,000 net per year for four years. Granted, some of that would be a signing bonus.

The last player taken in the 1st got $10M.

The 2020 season.

Dude is gone, he's bled more than enough for the university.

He's a top 50 pick AT WORST, definitely could see a team drafting him or trading back into the 1st at the 17-25 range.

You may want to look again at that guaranteed money after the 18th selection.

Tom Brady is a Highlander. Him and Samuel L. Jackson.

He can redshirt next year. He still has his redshirt year to use if he wants.

Just curious...why on earth would you think he'd leave? Are you seriously assuming he'll still be a first-round pick?

Yes, he is still a top 10 pick if his recovery time is earlier than camp starts for NFL teams. 100%. 1000%.

I pay attention to the draft more than anyone on this site it seems like.

As of right now, the odds are greater that he isn't drafted AT ALL in 2020.

If you think a recovering Tua who will make a full recovery won't go in the first round you're a damn fool. Franchise QBs are in very short supply.

They were serious enough that he wasn't near 100%. NFL teams don't like that. Also, he was dinged up all season, but how many times did he even play in the second half? He hasn't played many full games of football.

Show me where to find those odds then, because I'm about to make some hella money.
