He would be crazy to come back with his injury luck. If he gets back 100% someone will still draft him. Maybe not 1st round but they will.

For tua it’s a tough decision. I’d imagine he still leans towards the pros. Because injury is probably gonna happen again. But at least he’d be getting paid in the pros

He probably isn't at this point. But someone will take him in round 2 or 3, assuming he's able to recover.
The only season he's been fully healthy was his true freshman year. I just don't see him risking another career ending injury playing for 0 cash.

If the information floating around is right and he's looke at 13-16 weeks of recovery, why would he redshirt?
That timeframe is WAY before the start of fall camp in college and is even a couple of months ahead of OTAs for NFL teams.
Assuming all goes well with his surgery and recovery and he decides to continue a football career, he'll be well and fully healed by the start of a 2020 season be it at Alabama or in the NFL.

It's just my opinion, but no way a team takes him in the first. Too much guaranteed money for a guy who has been plagued by injuries. I don't even think they'll take him in the second if he can't work out for them.
I'm not saying that he'll come back, but the family might believe that it's worth it if he can prove he can stay healthy for a full season

Tua will still be drafted and if a team's medical staff believes he'll make a complete recovery he can still go in the first round. But, I tend to think if he goes in the first round he will go to an established franchise that can afford for him to sit a while and recover if need be.
I didn't want Tua to go to the Dolphins because I felt it could shorten his career.

If you're NE or NO or one of those other types with a HOF QB on the absolute tail end of his career and picking in the 30s, why wouldn't you take a chance on Tua and let him get healthy for ~2 years before he ever sees the field?
