Plain vanilla game plan on both sides of the ball.

Ideally would like to see us operate a short and mid game over the middle, not the Jordan Hare go deep every play junk. Not looking for open throws but anticipation and throwing after 2-3 reads
Defensively would like to see the corners operate well and how the 4-2-5 holds up over the middle

I agree, I think we can use this game to get reps on 15-30 yards throws for Milroe.

I want to see what ive always wanted to see, but never have. We are going to get up big and the starters will be pulled. I want to see the 2's get a chance to play the game like its 0-0 instead of out of reach. I want the play calling to stay aggressive the whole game, and i want to see the 2s trying to score and the 2s on defense trying to stop it like its to save the national title game. and if the 2s are too good, i want to see the same thing with the 3s
thats what always got me with saban, the mixed message that you should be giving 110% every play, unless we are up then we will let up in the playcalling. Thats the opposite of relentless, and i want to see a relentless team. Thats how you instill that killer nature in the 2s and 3s, they need to play that out int he games when they get the chance, and mop up time is when they are in the game. And its not bad sportmanship. If your 3s are still boatracing the other teams starters, then the refs need to call the game.

I'd like to see a clean performance on offense. Able to effortlessly move the ball down the field.
On defense, i'm not expecting a shutout, but i'd like to see intensity and nastiness. Nothing soft and timid.

Our offense should be very good but the defense and the defensive coaches have to prove themselves. Let’s see what they bring on the big stage.

60+ points dropped on 'em.
Also a good showing from our secondary, start off the season right against a QB that's familiar with us.

I think this could be a test on our young corners. WKU has some pretty decent skill players and last season they threw for close to 300 yards per game. If we keep them under 200 yards passing, I’ll feel pretty good about this defense

They will score some points and test the corners no doubt. I do think though that seeing a pass happy offense in practice will help them prepare for these types of teams.
The route trees that we run now are much different than our previous years.
We may not have the pure talent of the Mac and Tua years at receiver, but we have an offense now that schemes guys open and gets receivers in 1 on 1 matchups.

Great execution and limited penalties. I would like to see smash mouth FB and a lot of creativity on the O.

More concerned with defense actuallly but would love your to see lots of motion and shifting on offense …. Lots of motion to get our guys the ball in space

I dont think teams are using motion to get guys open anymore. Its more about getting a read on the defense. I would like to see a lot of presnap motion bc that means that Milroe is being provided with info to make the right read. I want to see him look like a QB who is reading the whole field.

With a whole lot less talent. But the offenses they played also had less talent.

The offense looked bad in the second half against Michigan. It cost us that game with the defense playing lights out during the second half. They finally ran out of gas at the end. The Western Kentucky game won't tell us much. Georgia will be the first indication of where we are.

I wonder if Florida State thought the first game against Georgia Tech wouldn't show them much.I think most people thought that. I never underestimate an opponent. 99% of the time they would beat them, but new coaches and schemes take time to develop. ROLL TIDE
