Their two big pass plays were when they had a speedy 5th year senior against a gangly true freshman and when they ran a wheel route with their RB against a guy coming back from an ACL injury. Other than those two plays they were 7/12 for 48 yards.

I really don’t see how Greg Byrne could’ve sat down with this guy and thought he was worth $80 million. He never says anything of substance when he talks. DeBoer is the master of saying absolutely nothing when he talks.

Saban supposedly hated the media and press conferences but he was masterful at them and he never devolved into coach speak. He didn’t say anything he didn’t want to say but he didn’t spew useless gobbledygook either.

Saban said 1/4 as much in terms of words but 10x in terms of meaning.

I wonder if we should try unplugging him for 30 seconds.

All I gathered from CKD’s rambling is that this team are champions of practice. That’s all.

Everything else just confuses him. He doesn’t know why it doesn’t translate to games.

Oh, and “relax and ball out.” And “cut it loose.”

Nobody cares about the tone in the locker room AFTER the game.... Get them ready before the game... Geez.

How did the administration let this happen. Complete knee jerk hire. This guy is a terrible fit he is soft and belongs out West with the rest of the soft arse football fans.

I always thought Saban would transition smoothly and give input on next coach, there is no way he recommended this pansy arse coach. He left the program and fan base high and dry.

And Mincey was in when Lee got burned. And Lawson hasn’t been able to cover one on one since he stepped foot on campus

It is a failed experiment. DeBoer, even being the candyass he is, was 104-12, and all other coaches on our shortlist were just leveraging our interest into raises, including douchebags Norvell and Lanning. I hardly think the hire is worthy of crucifying Saban for making the most +/- logical suggestion based on those circumstances for lack of sheer prescience.

And although I still condemn that he paid 70 million dollars for any coach immediately following Saban, I can’t fault Byrne too harshly for the logic he used in choosing DeBoer given the circumstances.

On Saturday the Bama fans saw a team where most of the players didn't give a shite. Maybe, that came about because the coaches don't give a shite. Byrne should fire Wommack. If he doesn't then the Board of Trustees should fire Byrne.

The truth is, there’s nothing he could say or do in a press conference to make this better. He could get up there and crash out, but if they continue to look like shite then it doesn’t matter.

I don’t want to hear about it. I heard about it all summer. I literally have no interest in watching another press conference. I want you to coach some fricking winning football

This is the answer. No matter what he, Grubb, or Womack said wouldnt have pacified people and I'm sure they know that too. Changes have to be made on the field, and we will see what happens there!
