I want to see us score at least 35 on UF.

Same. We might if their O hasn't improved. Our offense would have the ball a lot.

I can't wait to see us pump fake the screen to Cooper and throw a bomb to Jones deep for six against UF.

I just told my Dad the same thing. I said how effective that play would be and I hope we have it in our repertoire

Probably saving that for one of the big games. Florida, Ole Miss, A&M, LSU, or Auburn.

Works a little better if White is the guy going deep, but at that point it really doesn't matter because the guy will be wide arse open.

Coker played much better as the game went on. Sims would have been 100% if not for drops, but he really only made two moderately difficult passes.

Holy fricking bubble screen, guys. Let's hope this is just because of the opponent and not something we're going to rely on all year. Coker takes forever to throw to the sidelines, I don't understand why.

Comparing it to what he did last year on similar throws, seems like it's a comfort thing. He's thinking too much. Release was much quicker last year at FSU when he was more confident.

I took up for Sims last week so I'll take up for Coker this time. I thought he looked good. Getting the plays called and everyone in position will come with time. Needs to improve accuracy on a couple shorter passes, but overall pretty good.

I thought both played well. I just think that if you put Sims in a pass oriented offense you might see him falter if he's forced into downfield throws. It looks great with bubble screen plays with Sims now, but some teams will take that away. Coker may be better with downfield throws, but he's only played about a half. Time will tell.

The bubble screens were only this game. If it creates mismatches, and goes for big yardage, shouldn't be no problem

Thoguht the same thing earlier but this is the play I think we have saved for Howard. Jones is usually the slot guy on the side with Cooper and the lead blocker. For the play to really work we need the linebacker and the safety to take a step towards Cooper/Jones. They need to act like they're running the bubble screen for that to happen. Howard goes right up the seam in that vacated spot.

With an aggessive corner like Hargreaves though we can probably hit Cooper up top after a quick pump fake. The screen works so well because that possibility exists and you can't play bump and run on cooper

Coker sucks. Let Sims get experience. Maybe we have a shot.

No one argue with him. He clearly has some personal reason for this odd hate for Coker.

Do you have some hidden agenda against him?

Do you think our qb situation looks like he adequately prepared the backup? Not sure whose call it was to have Blake Sims run out the clock last year in garbage time instead of running the offense.

Blake Sims on Jake Coker: "He's got strengths where my weakness is and I've got strengths where his weakness is. We're a team."

Asked Saban about fans taking sides in the QB battle. His response: I really don't care what side they take.

Coker on his performance grade: “I’m going to leave that up to the coaches on Mon. I know I had a lot of screwups & we’ll see what happens."

I thought Sims was outstanding today. He ran the offense to perfection. The only thing he screwed up was handing off ironically since he got a lot of practice doing that in mop-up last year. Granted, it was against a bad team, but I'm cautiously optimistic for sure.

I get a feeling from this that we'd go 2QB for longer than we expect, but no way that happens. Just no way. Gotta have one guy running things in tough games.
