I was basing it off a particular poll which has been updated tonight and has them 28.

It says they do consider injuries so maybe your right.

But I still don’t see a clear winner with SOS.

I hope they base things off injury bc Fla State win would be a huge plus right about now.

You guys are putting way too much into this. It's completely out of the team's hands. That's the cost of losing.

I'm pretty sure the committee had all the permutations figured out last week and no amount of lobbying will change their minds.

That's why I only watched the auburn v Georgia. Only one I cared about. Then I did a little work, met some friends for dinner, took a spur of the moment trip to the casino.

It's been a good day.

Now, y'all take a break and let the people paid to have an opinion beat their chests for the next few days.

Fresno st is ranked in the polls I'm looking at. That's 3 ranked teams. I also have to believe the Lsu team we played would beat psu.

I like our chances. The committee already had questions about Wisconsin as they were undefeated and still sitting 4 behind 1 & 2 loss teams. The loss to Iowa is the reason I think OSU was sitting at 8 and not higher. I also think UGA winning helps for 2 reasons. No IB rematch which most of the country did not want to see but it also if 2 teams from the SEC get in both have only 1 loss.

Either way we should go to a great bowl game and AU is no going to the playoffs

What is sort of worrying is we have one top 25 win

Now is a lot different than when we played some teams. Not our fault they fell apart after us. What do the numbers look like when we played them?

It's a coin toss.

One thing I found interesting that was mentioned last night would be that when both Bama and overrated state are discussed 3 of the 13 people have to leave the room because of the conflict of interest with overrated state.

Them not in the room gives me a little hope that someone in that room won't let the Iowa argument go.

Until now they didn’t care about the championship conference game. They said that everything was settled during the season. Now they are interested in who is the conference champion.

But they selected OSU of PSU last year. It might come to the fact the SEC would have 2 teams.

And Alabama lost the last game we played. When you lose isn't a factor for consideration as far as I know, but the reality is that may in fact be.

I doubt we could score enough to beat Oklahoma or Clemson, in any event.

This selection committee is suppose to be about selecting the 4 best team's, not ensuring a conference isn't "over-represented".

Last year they selected OSU over PSU, even though PSU won the conference and beat OSU head-to-head.... and cited OSU being one of the four best as the reason.

OSU didn't really impress beating that overrated Wisconsin. OSU also lost by 31 to a crap team (They punished PSU last year for losing by 30+ to Michigan).

If they change their reasoning again, it will be so obvious they are tailoring their cause to fit whatever OSU needs, regardless of the year.

If you factor in injuries Bama is in. How many other teams could lose their top two pass rushers and still go 11-1.

Will be interesting to see what this defense can do at near full strength.

I won't be surprised if Bama or OSU get in. I'll admittedly be upset if we don't though. I think if they put OSU in, after last year, you have to start to question the committees favoritism of OSU

It's hilarious to me that the biggest argument in Ohio State's favor is the argument they can't use: they won their conference.

Stuff like this is what makes sports so good.

A lot of posters in here who didn't pay much attention to how things happened last year.

OSU 2016 had the best resume of maybe any of the 12 teams previously selected for the playoffs. End of the year, before the playoffs, OSU had played 40% of the top 10, and beaten 30%. Even with the B1G championship game, PSU only had 2 top 10 wins and had a loss to a top 10 team and a loss to an unranked team.

Bama will have 2 top 25 wins (0 top 10 wins) and lost to the only top 10 team they played. Bama 2017 is much more comparable to 2015 OSU, who didn't get in, but was absolutely one of the best 4 teams.

I agree... Have fun getting stomped by Clemson once again.

If OSU runs the damn ball they can win the title again. Their OL is mauling people. Too many dumb mistakes or OSU wins that game last night by 40.

We shall see what happens today

2017 Ohio State has two losses. 1 at home and the other by 30+ on the road to a 7-win team.

Last year's resume hurts this year because they got in with a h2h loss to the conference champ, which killed the perceived precedent of the conf championship requirement to get in the playoff.

The Bama haterz are out in full force, but this is a legit conversation.
