Espn predicts us playing Miami in the Orange which would be an easy win and boring end to the season. Playing this Miami team excites me as much as if they told us we were playing NC State. Rather play UCF.

Playing in South Florida is always good for recruiting.

A lot of posters in here who didn't pay much attention to how things happened last year.

OSU 2016 had the best resume of maybe any of the 12 teams previously selected for the playoffs. End of the year, before the playoffs, OSU had played 40% of the top 10, and beaten 30%. Even with the B1G championship game, PSU only had 2 top 10 wins and had a loss to a top 10 team and a loss to an unranked team.

Bama will have 2 top 25 wins (0 top 10 wins) and lost to the only top 10 team they played. Bama 2017 is much more comparable to 2015 OSU, who didn't get in, but was absolutely one of the best 4 teams.

Sure, if it was 2016 tOSU vs 2017 Bama there's no doubt tOSU gets the nod.

This year, the comparison is a team with arguably better wins but terrible losses or a team lacking a true marquee win but only one road loss in a game they led in the second half.

It is pretty much a pick-em this time around.

If we don't get in the playoffs I can't think of a better way to end the season than Miami in the Orange Bowl.

A team that has virtually no name recognition, won't attract viewers, will be harder to get players up for, and does nothing for you if you win but makes you look terrible if you lose? No thank you.

Lost to pitt

Got skull fricked by Clemson 38-3.

What a snoozer that game would be.

Miami wouldn't be an easy win. A&M and State gave us hell and we still have a one dimensional offense. Not to mention that we suck when we go to a bowl that isn't for all the marbles.

You got beat head to head by your conference champ and your dumb arse is trying to justify getting in over them by saying you played a tough schedule.

The entitlism you OSU trash have is otherwordly

If it doesn't go our way today.. I think this team will still be motivated to skull drag whoever they see in the bowl game

If it isn't for all the marbles, a big Bama win in a NY6 bowl would be the best possible ending for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Michigan State game after the 2010 season. If we could do the same to Miami I'd be pretty content during the offseason.

I mean we played OU @ OU and Wisky @ Wisky, which PSU didn't do.

As I've said multiple times for 2017, there is no right or wrong answer. They are both flawed teams, and whoever gets in should be happy and the left out team should move on quick

Ugh, Pollack and Fowler are saying that they think that OSU will get the nod.

I agree it can go either way and whoever move in to 5 can hold their head high.

I mean OSU's wins are better, and their losses are worse.

How the F do you split that

They need to get to 8 teams into the playoffs. 8 is enough. Or go to 6 and allow 1 and 2 a bye.
