I think it absolutely helped with certain interviewers just from a curiosity perspective

Every successful professional job interview I have ever had involved me and the person or persons interviewing me starting a conversation about something on my resumé and an hour later realizing that we had just been shooting the shite and hadn't really done an actual interview.

Yeah I suck at interviewing but I am great at talking. If I can get someone to start talking to me instead of doing a Q&A with a bunch of stupid "tell us about examples of you doing ________" I can get them to like me, and be willing to hire me.

That’s what I’m thinking. It shows dedication to team and cause and ability to have self-discipline. It shows a willingness to sacrifice partying for a goal. Kind of like working your way through college. It shows a certain drive, focus and forward lean.

Yes exactly. It's certainly a positive.

My biggest weaknesses are that I care too much, I work too hard, and I am too dedicated to my job. You see, my weaknesses are also strengths.

I feel obligated to watch, when I don’t have anything else going on..... I guess it’s like someone that has to clean up crime scenes. They hate it, but it’s their job.
