Most consecutive wins to open the season since 1994

1997 - 15-0 (National Runner Up, CWS, SECT Champions)
1998 - 10-0 (NCAA West Regional Runner Up)
2002 - 10-0 (NCAAT, SEC Tournament Champions)
2020 - 9-0 (ongoing)
2018 - 9-0
2010 - 8-0 (NCAA Super Regional)

If we win the first 2 against Harvard this will be the 2nd best start in recent Alabama baseball history behind only the great 1997 team.

Yep - strange, even for northern teams, but I assume they don't allow their baseball team to go south for a month like a lot of those northern programs do (Northeastern is currently down South for a month straight).

I saw the replay of Praytors HR and it looked like a slow pitch softball swing and he got 100% of it. Did it ever land?

I think I heard it is an Ivy League thing. They aren't the only school in that league that hasn't played a game yet.

I'm sure it is - they do similar stuff in basketball. No mid-week games and back to back games on Fridays/Saturdays.

Man you nailed it earlier in the year - Bo wasn't lying about this lineup. It's got pop up and down and we've got 11 guys who are legitimate starting pieces.

It's nice to not basically forfeit every 3rd inning at the plate anymore.

Definitely looking like it will be the best offense we’ve had in 5+ years. Hopefully most of this production translates over to conference play.

And yea I don’t know how many times last year where we got the opposing team out, I fixed a drink in between innings, and by the time I got back to my seat the other team was already hitting again.

Yep - so far so good. It was supposed to be a more talented group and through 9 games it certainly feels like much more talented overall group, but we won't really know until early April.

Keep up the updates. I couldn't sit through the garbage angle vs UNLV, so I have yet to catch a game. Should be fun to finally be reinvested into baseball.

AT&T UVerse

They're not the reason I haven't watched a game.

I’d pump the brakes guys. Last two years we have started really strong in non-conference only to struggle mightily in our very tough conference. Pitching is going to get drastically better.

This team is better and deeper than those 2 were. The question is how much better and deeper.

Caught the tail end of an interview with a national scout for Perfect Game on SiriusXM on the way home. The host asked him to name a couple of college teams that might surprise people this year. He said he caught Alabama in Vegas against UNLV and he said Bama had a very young, talented team and there were quite a few freshmen and sophomores that would be draft names in a year or two.

Yea - he watched the Friday night game and tweeted about how impressed he was with Preilipp. Thought he was the most impressive freshman pitcher he'd seen this year.

Apparently he was sitting mid 90s in that game. He has also recorded 15 Ks in 9 innings. A hard throwing lefty with swing and miss stuff is one of the rarest commodities in baseball. Assuming he develops reasonably good command he's going to be really, really good.

Yep - Bo has done some work in the Great White North in recruiting
